≫ WHAT'S UP WITH GATEWAY ROLEPLAY? ≪

  • We've been radio silent for a long time now. We posted an announcement in our Discord server back in April of 2025, but never updated the forums. So what's up with Gateway Roleplay?

After 5 long years, we've decided to place the development of Ties That Bind on an indefinite hold.

This doesn't mean it's cancelled. We fully intend to run Ties That Bind: What Lies Beneath and Ties That Bind: City of Angels eventually. But to do so, we need to take a step back. In the meantime, we'll be working on smaller, invite-only projects.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us this long! MindGate and I (Pika) have been working on this server for over a decade now. It truly is a passion project for us.

As you may already know, Gateway runs off of donations from our playerbase! All of the specifics on costs are listed on our donations page, though just know that it isn't cheap.

...and that's why we need you! Lately, we've had a lack of donations. Any remaining costs are paid out-of-pocket by Legion, but we can't live off of that forever. Donating even a single dollar helps out the server a whole bunch!

We've come up with a whole bunch of rewards as an incentive to donate so that we can give you back something in return to thank you for your generosity. None of the rewards affect you in-game, so don't worry about any pay-to-win mechanics!

Aside from general forum perks, we've begun to offer commissions through Lil Bit!
- Donating $15 will get you a flat-color, sketched portrait of your character
-Donating $30 will get you a fully-shaded, detailed portrait of your character

Examples are available on our donations page!
All funds received through commissions will not only support Lil Bit but the server as well!

We hope that you consider donating if you enjoy the server! Seriously, we couldn't thank you enough.
