≫ WHAT'S UP WITH GATEWAY ROLEPLAY? ≪

  • We've been radio silent for a long time now. We posted an announcement in our Discord server back in April of 2025, but never updated the forums. So what's up with Gateway Roleplay?

    After 5 long years, we've decided to place the development of Ties That Bind on an indefinite hold.

    This doesn't mean it's cancelled. We fully intend to run Ties That Bind: What Lies Beneath and Ties That Bind: City of Angels eventually. But to do so, we need to take a step back. In the meantime, we'll be working on smaller, invite-only projects.

    Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us this long! MindGate and I (Pika) have been working on this server for over a decade now. It truly is a passion project for us.

APPEARANCE;
Sam has short, dirty blonde hair that is cut into a shaggy bob. Her eyes are dark brown, with dark shadows standing out below them. A light speckling of freckles covers her face. She stands at a height of about 5’4’’. She tends to wear casual clothes. This typically consists of t-shirts, Hawaiian button-ups, cargo shorts, jeans, etc. There are scars scattered all over her legs from scabs which she has picked over the years.

PERSONALITY;
Sam is a rather shy girl; though, once opening up to someone, she can be a lot to handle. She's extremely passionate about her interests, finding herself able to go on and on about them forever without fail. Infodumping is a common occurrence with Sam. She's oblivious when it comes to a lot of things, and incredibly dense, but she tries her best. She is still just a child, after all.
