≫ WHAT'S UP WITH GATEWAY ROLEPLAY? ≪
We've been radio silent for a long time now. We posted an announcement in our Discord server back in April of 2025, but never updated the forums. So what's up with Gateway Roleplay?
After 5 long years, we've decided to place the development of Ties That Bind on an indefinite hold.
This doesn't mean it's cancelled. We fully intend to run Ties That Bind: What Lies Beneath and Ties That Bind: City of Angels eventually. But to do so, we need to take a step back. In the meantime, we'll be working on smaller, invite-only projects.
Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us this long! MindGate and I (Pika) have been working on this server for over a decade now. It truly is a passion project for us.

Jack was holding onto my stuff IC since my last house burned down. In total 1 school bag with weapons (2 shotguns, 2 handguns, 10 9mm bullets and 1 box of 308. + 1 308.), doctors bag with medical supplies and a bag with a bit of food and another bag with misc stuff.
Admin @Jack already helped me get back my doctors bag and food bag, the misc stuff would be nice to get back but I forgot what exact items were there. And the firearms he told me were with Avery.
I can't now really get the items back due to the way he left due to OOC drama and I need admin help to get my stuff (misc. dufflebag items, 1 school backpack with guns) back.
Was Jack supposed to give them back to you?? They were going to donate the two bags of Omnia's things, and Avery confiscated the weapons days ago IC. You'd have to get them back IC, since that isn't really something that can be easily retconned now.
The bags of medical supplies and other misc things were on the floor in Avery's kitchen when I logged last night, so I'm assuming Jack took them, but that's a bit weird IC too, all things considered. I'm thinking maybe there was some miscommunication somewhere on Jack's part here.
As far as I know, that wasn't his intention. Currently the character is MIA and the items are all in either the Monroe armory or Avery's house. They also donated books to the schoolhouse.
The only thing that MIGHT have been donated were the medical supplies, maybe, it was down to how Monroe residents treated the whole situation with Omnia.
However donating the food, tools in the misc bag as well as the weapons certainly was NOT part of the plan or idea. She never would have donated all of what she owns. Makes no sense.
I already have what little food I have as well as the medical supplies back to me. All I want back now are the weapons. And yes, Jack (the character) would have returned them to me. That was our deal and the reason he was holding onto them.
I certainly hope that that you all didn't confiscate everything I own in hopes of keeping it. That was never the deal nor the intention. I still am in need of those items for my own RP.
I can get them back to you then. That makes sense. Avery would have still confiscated them because having guns in her home given the current situation is incredibly bad, not to mention against the rules, but it's not like they're destroyed. We can just say Omnia asked for them back and Avery gave them to her.
Yes, that would work peachy. I already forgot what books I had as well as what tools I had in the misc bag. Given that I don't remember it I'll say they are not important enough and you guys can keep them.
Alright, I've got the items. I remember the two shotguns, but for the handguns I took out a Beretta 92FS and a Colt Commander Super 38. If I got them wrong, I can switch them for the correct ones. There were two Glocks in the armory's gun storage: A Glock 19 and a Glock 21.
Just let me know when you're on and I'll get them to you.
