≫ WHAT'S UP WITH GATEWAY ROLEPLAY? ≪
We've been radio silent for a long time now. We posted an announcement in our Discord server back in April of 2025, but never updated the forums. So what's up with Gateway Roleplay?
After 5 long years, we've decided to place the development of Ties That Bind on an indefinite hold.
This doesn't mean it's cancelled. We fully intend to run Ties That Bind: What Lies Beneath and Ties That Bind: City of Angels eventually. But to do so, we need to take a step back. In the meantime, we'll be working on smaller, invite-only projects.
Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us this long! MindGate and I (Pika) have been working on this server for over a decade now. It truly is a passion project for us.
Logged on three days or four days ago and did some minor roleplay, claim was fine then, everything intact, nothing looted. Logged back on today and found the place was ransacked;
The doors for all bedrooms inside were broken down
Claim notes for players bedrooms and particular notes were removed.
Many items were stolen, including gunpowder, nails, our stash of alcohol and much more.
Furthermore I found two notes in the claim house that said "GET STICKBUGGED", so someone's mocking us. In addition to this, the claim notes downstairs that denote the house as a claim prior had my group's character names (Rook, Whisper, Oracle) listed. Now they're not there, so whoever raided the claim also edited the claim notes to remove our names. So that's fun. If it's possible to resolve this, that would be great. Thank you all.
Also, haven't confirmed this yet but for the admins referencing this later on, I'm fairly certain that this was done by that absolute douche-bag we perm banned yesterday. Fits with his whole ethic.
The robbery has been linked back to Cruz, our resident douchebag that was perma-banned for an entirely different incident a few days ago. While a member of the groups claim was online at the time of the robbery, Cruz regardless mech gamed and broke RP throughout his short life on the server as well as during the robbery itself. I've reimbursed the players with everything that the logs say they lost. If they have any other issues they need to let me know.
