Bernard wouldn’t hesitate to steal anything if he needs it to survive. In normal situations he’d have some sense of honour, but in a starving situation, or any other critical situation he’d do whatever he’d need to survive.
Bernard wouldn’t kill any human being unless it’s in self defence. He never killed a human being, but he has been shot by them in one of his hunting trips. He only kills animals to survive and for the fur in order to trade. Always respecting the animal.
When Bernard is in danger, he normally flees. Then he analizes the situation and prepares a plan to keep avoiding that danger, or make something about it if there’s no way to keep away from it.
Character Motivations
Survive mostly. He didn't have anything to fight for for a long time, so the only objective he has is to get going. Maybe if he manages to join a proper group he'll change his mind. He's capable, and thats why he doesnt need anyone to keep doing his stuff
Physical Appearance
Not very tall. Caucasian. Brown eyes, black hair and some beard. He doesn't wear expensive clothes and he is fit due to the hard work in the forest.
1,80 metres tall, 78 kilograms.

Survivor - Trades with the things he can find in the forest.
Biography
The childhood of Bernard was the normal one for a kid grown in the countryside. His father was a lumberjack, his grandparent was a lumberjack. He grew seeing how the "tough" guys put money on the table by chopping trees and hunting. In his free time, he learnt everything in the Scouts. His father used to tell him that you can't be a man if you are not able to take care of yourself, and that involves having basic knowledge of survival techniques. that he learnt in that organisation.
In the High school, he started putting interest into surviving in the forest alone. Bernard liked practising with his bow, and looking for berries in the forest, stones and minerals... Once he finished the school and knowing the basics of it, he applied for the Forest Service Guard Station, an institution that takes care of endangered species, and that takes care of the forests from “narcos” and furtive hunters.
He did it very well in this institution, but suddenly the government stopped sending funds to the institution, so he wasn’t able to get money or food in another way…
From that moment he was “working” illegally, having to smuggle illegal tobacco cargo and other stuff hidden in bags through the forest into the cities, to avoid road checkpoints. He never asked what he was carrying, but the pay was good, and he needed the money…
That made him become a tough and an independent guy. He wouldn’t need anyone in order to survive. He started living in an abandoned log hut in the middle of the forest until everything changed. All the contacts he used to have disappeared... What was happening? He had to find what was wrong.
He took his stuff and went to the city, it seemed the dead were raising… He inmediately went back to his cabin and survived alone for some time until he received some radio broadcast asking for help close to his location.
When he arrived to the place he found there were some survivors that consisted in nomads that moved between different points, trading and working for different factions.
He embraced that life for years till this moment, when he found himself alone in the forest after an attack from those things, in the middle of a storm…
He is alone now.

Yes. All the tools that let me carcassing bodies. A bow and some arrows. Winter clothing. Boots. One big back. Some food and a source of water. A hand axe, knife... That survival stuff that I might have found during my survival.
Would you like your character to start with any skills?
Yes. A bit of shooting and cooking in order to be able to carcass and smoke or salt the meat if I manage to trade for it. Everything related with hunting and preserving the meat, or preparing the skin for trading would be nice. I will specialize on that.
