Maycee was brought up in a very respected, big Mormon family. She is very religious and was raised to be meek, kind, refined, pure and virtuous. She is very sheltered and obedient to her father and the leaders of the faction she is currently in. However, she has certain expectations of her that she does not agree with. There's a part of her that wants to be free and make her own decisions about who she is.
Character Motivations
Maycee has been taken care of, sheltered, and obedient her entire life. However, she did not agree with her faction's practices and did not want to be married. She is hoping to find her older sister, although she has no clue where she might be now. She is mostly driven by wanting freedom to make her own choices and discover who she really is.
Physical Appearance
Maycee is a 20 year old girl with long blonde hair and blue eyes. She is always modestly dressed with a skirt.

Biography
Maycee was 6 when everything happened. She grew up in a Mormon family in Utah that was very religious and very strict. Being the youngest of 8, she had a lot of siblings to look up to and who took care of her. She barely remembers her life before so she has a hard time comparing her life now to the life before. After the event, her family ended up joining a polygamist faction in Southern Utah. As the years went on, she was taught to be obedient and follow the direction of the faction leader. Men were there to protect and women were supposed to be the homemakers. Her life was fairly ideal and she never knew hunger and barely knew what was going on outside of the compound. She was brought up to be the perfect wife, although her mother tried to hold off on her getting married for as long as possible. When the time came that Brother Smith wouldn't wait any longer and wanted to make Maycee his fourth bride, she knew that she had to leave. Maycee had an older sister who left so she would try to find her. Her mother helped Maycee and her older brother, Taeg escape.
