A cunning and witty individual, Jamie was born and raised in the bustling New York City. A third generation Japanese-American, Jamie was raised under the strict rule of his parents. They kept him in line and gave him no option but to focus on school despite his young age. This led to Jamie developing a rebellious nature although the hatred for school work was soon quelled following the outbreak of the virus.
Character Motivations
Following the loss of both his parents a few years after the chaotic outbreak that cursed the nation, Jamie was forced to fend for himself from a relatively young age; whilst only in his mid-teens he was left an orphan and had to adapt to survive. His main aim is survival by any means necessary. He realizes that he needs to live with the decisions he makes but ultimately, it's the decisions he makes that grant him the opportunity to live.
Physical Appearance
Jamie's a typical Japanese-American. A lanky and slim build aids him as he navigates across Monroe County. He has traditionally dark hair and does his best to maintain it and keep it neat but that can often prove difficulty without access to a barber. He's also known to often wear a cap and is burdened with poor eyesight, which ultimately means he has to rely on a thick pair of glasses - often secondhand.

Biography
Jamie lived a fairly standard life for any Asian-American in the USA. Raised not too far from the Chinatown district of New York, he was well accustomed with the foreign oriental culture that surrounded him in his youth. His parents ensured his focus would stay on school but ultimately it proved a fruitless effort following the outbreak. Jamie was in turn forced to survive with his parents and the initially fled New York City given the population.
The family lived a nomadic life following the outbreak and travelled from place to place - often seeking refuge in small settlements but, as is life, everything good must come to and end. Settlements often became compromised and, on one occasion, this almost cost Jamie his life. A raving horde managed to infiltrate a settlement and it caused scenes of panic within. Jamie watch both of his parents perish and was forced to flee, given little opportunity to intervene. The years following, Jamie avoided most people, afraid to grow close to anyone in case similar events transpired.
