It was the loss of their father that spurred Nat to become a CPF Ranger, and finally, they succeeded in their goal. Nat believes in justice, and that bringing law and order will generally do good things for everyone. They are an idealist, of the best ideas of the CPF.
Character Motivations
Nat wants to follow in their father's footsteps as a CPF Ranger. In a sense, they are an idolizer in that sense, but is also burdened by the fact they feels that they needs to live up to his legacy.
Physical Appearance
Nat stands at about 5ft 7in tall and has an athletic figure. Their eyes are blue, and their blond hair is about shoulder length, though they might cut in the future, once summer arrives likely. Nat could be described as androgynous in many senses, though many pronouns people would use for them would likely default to "She/Her" until corrected. Nat is mostly fine with this, though Nat is genderfluid and has both masc and femme days. In most cases they'd prefer people call them "Nat" as opposed to their full name "Natalie", or just "Ranger Brackenridge". While mostly covered up by their jacket, they have a tattoo that looks like this on their right arm.

Biography
Natalie "Nat" Providence Brackenridge was born on February 22nd, 2006 to Tom Brackenridge and Marcia Hamilton Brackenridge in Worcester, Massachusetts. While Marcia worked as a nurse at the local hospital, Tom was a sergeant with the Worcester police department. When the collapse happened, Nat was in elementary school, at the age of 9 in 2015, having turned that a month before.
During the collapse, Nat's mother was tending to patients in the hospital and ended up becoming infected herself. This led to, in the chaos, Tom Brackenridge grabbing his child and getting out of dodge.
Over the next several years, Tom and Nat mostly stuck to the wilderness of the Northeastern Former United States, mostly sticking to rural Maine. There, Tom taught Nat the basics of survival, how to cook, hunt, skin animals and most importantly, how to shoot. Lessons that proved invaluable for growing up in this bizarre new world.
Eventually, Tom Brackenridge ended up settling down in Pittsford prior to the formation of the CPF. With his background, he joined what would eventually become the CPF Rangers, however, in 2027, Tom Brackenridge was shot dead by Carl Miller and his gang in an attempt to bring them in.
Around this time, Nat was beginning their training to join the rangers. This both made them heartbroken, and hardened their resolve to join. Nat ended up passing their tests with flying colors, and was, in 2029, given clearance to become a full CPF Ranger.
