≫ WHAT'S UP WITH GATEWAY ROLEPLAY? ≪

  • We've been radio silent for a long time now. We posted an announcement in our Discord server back in April of 2025, but never updated the forums. So what's up with Gateway Roleplay?

    After 5 long years, we've decided to place the development of Ties That Bind on an indefinite hold.

    This doesn't mean it's cancelled. We fully intend to run Ties That Bind: What Lies Beneath and Ties That Bind: City of Angels eventually. But to do so, we need to take a step back. In the meantime, we'll be working on smaller, invite-only projects.

    Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us this long! MindGate and I (Pika) have been working on this server for over a decade now. It truly is a passion project for us.

Risant is neutral good in classsical RPG terms, if i have i share, if i dont have i dont, there is no need to enforce my will on anyone, but neither do i have to follow anyone cause of whatever authority they might present.

He is roughly 6.5 tall 190 pound light and built solid, his hair is curly brown/blond and his grey,blue eyes are piercing his surroundings looking for any potential trouble in a reserved and calm manner. His arms are covered with heavy metal tattoos from bands only people that liked the sounds of 80s know.

Before things went south Risant was part of a MC Club named the Hammerheads, quiet untypical for a guy that grew up helping in his dads carpentry business in a little town named Lifton... But sometimes life is not meant to be what people expect and when the unexpected happens and you stand on your own, you can end anywhere.

Hey, Risant! My name is Pika and I'll be reviewing your application today.

Before we can go any further with the application process, I need to address the most glaring issue: Although you answered the multiple choice questions correctly, it still isn't clear that you've read the lore at all. Your biography doesn't match up at all. It's incredibly important that you've read the lore. If you haven't, you'll be lost upon joining the server.

The most important point to note is that we are currently 14 years into the apocalypse. Risant could have either been 30 at the start and is now 43/44, or he could have been 16/17 at the start. Regardless of what you choose, you need to add more to your biography since you've cut off at the beginning. A lot can happen in 14 years. You can read the lore here.

Additionally, all characters need a real first and last name. Risant is a real first name, but you must provide a last name as well.

Once you've made those additions, just reply to bump the thread and we can continue with the application process. Thanks!
