Personality
Moriah is Amish. However, she is incredibly curious about the outside world. However, Moriah, due to events right before I start playing her, is now mute. However, provided she manages to recover, Moriah's understanding of the outside world might leave her more questions than answers, and a test of her faith.

Character Motivations
Moriah is injured, and is too afraid of the Miller Gang to return home herself thus, she will likely stick around Monroe, mostly mourning her father, and to satisfy her curiosity about the "English" World.

Physical Appearance
Moriah, due to many, many generations of """"""pure""""" amish genetics, sports blonde hair, blue eyes, and a very ethnically German looking appearance. This will be eventually joined by a large scar on her neck, provided the wound heals.

Biography
Moriah, full name Moriah Schwartzentruber, was born outside Leon, New York, on October 22nd, 2011. Being a child during the collapse, it did not affect her that much, nor the Amish communities in Upstate New York, who despite not their reluctance to use technology and pacifism, did not take too much pushing to use guns and other things to defend themselves from the hordes. However, besides the occasional zombie, life went on as usual, at least for a year or so.

Moriah's father was Euphrates Schwartzentruber, who was the owner of a large farm before the collapse, who cultivated relationships with other members of his community, both Amish and "English." This led to him being a well respected figure. Moriah's mother died during childbirth and was a home birth, leaving Moriah as Euphrates only child.

After the collapse, after Euphrates fortified the farmstead and continued running the farm as usual, continuing to trade with other members of the community, soon, the Amish members of the community realized that the non Amish members of Leon, and the greater Cattaraugus County was abandoned leaving the ever isolated Amish as the majority in the valley. Clearing out the zombies, the Amish slowly started taking over more and more of the area, establishing Leon as a thriving community in New York.

However, they needed a leader, and thus, Euphrates was chosen to lead Leon, and thus, he became the head of the community for over 10 years. However, despite the general isolation, Leon began to take noticed. Thus, eventually, Leon established relations with the CPF, and exchanged ambassadors.

During this time, Euphrates too great pains to educate Moriah, in how to read, write and scripture.

Eventually however, Euphrates made a faithful trip to the CPF, taking Moriah with him. Moriah was initially excited for the trip, being extremely interested in seeing Pittsford, however, tragedy struck.

While passing through the barrens, the buggy caravan got ambushed by members of the Miller gang, who slaughtered everyone, including Euphrates himself. The Miller gang kept Moriah alive, and, once they were done with her, ended up slitting her neck and leaving her for dead. However, she was still alive afterwords, and managed to stop the bleeding to an extend. She proceeded to crawl towards the lights in the distance, the gates of Monroe....
