≫ WHAT'S UP WITH GATEWAY ROLEPLAY? ≪

  • We've been radio silent for a long time now. We posted an announcement in our Discord server back in April of 2025, but never updated the forums. So what's up with Gateway Roleplay?

After 5 long years, we've decided to place the development of Ties That Bind on an indefinite hold.

This doesn't mean it's cancelled. We fully intend to run Ties That Bind: What Lies Beneath and Ties That Bind: City of Angels eventually. But to do so, we need to take a step back. In the meantime, we'll be working on smaller, invite-only projects.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us this long! MindGate and I (Pika) have been working on this server for over a decade now. It truly is a passion project for us.

Hi, alf4rd! I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to deny your application.

The main issue is that your application is not in English. You must have a thorough understanding of English and be able to communicate in it well enough to participate in roleplay, even if you aren't fluent. This is more for your own enjoyment than anything else. If you can't understand anyone, where's the fun in that? Additionally, your character does not have a real name and you did not meet the length requirement for any portion of your biography..

Thank you for your interest in the server! You're absolutely welcome to apply again if you'd like! Just make sure to read through all of the documentation first and write your application in English. Thanks!
