Personality
Preston is a professional. He plays his cards close to his chest. Though he is quick to lend a hand to someone in need, he knows when someone can't be helped. While his self preservation is strong, he understands sacrifice and its worth. Nobody is invincible, and he isn't one to pretend that either laughter or tears don't exist. He is imperfect, but he doesn't let that discourage him.
Character Motivations
Preston has been living day to day for the past 14 years. He'd like that to change. He would like to contribute to something greater than himself. The world will outlive him by a wide margin, and he is painfully aware of that. Preston wants to ensure the world is at least a little bit closer to normal by the time he dies.

Biography
Preston had an uneventful childhood, and enlisted in the United States Army out of high school in 2008. He served four years as a military policeman before receiving an honorable discharge and entering civilian law enforcement. During the initial panic, Preston was mobilized as a National Guardsman. His unit quickly dissolved as the situation deteriorated, and he drifted for a while after that. He would eventually meet a man in Pennsylvania, Max Stone, and for some time went with him. It had been a long time when he heard about the Monroe Rangers. Preston was one of the first to join, and has been integral to operations in Michigan. However, he has recently been called to New York.
