A Survivalist hermit with a personality of a stump. Shows antisocial tendencies and a distrust for other living peoples in a world full of dead. (due to being betrayed many of times before Z-day)
Character Motivations
Not afraid to get dirty and sweaty when it comes to hard work if the ends justifies the means. Surviving out all others is the only driving force that pushes me on to outlive everyone that may have done me wrong in the past.
Physical Appearance
Born with the blood of a maori and viking making one abnormally strong but suffers from asthma.

Took to nature before Z-day and was learning how to live with nature and the land underones feet. (like trapping & farming stuff)
Biography
Taniwha didnt grow up with a father in the house and was only him and his mother, and his uncle that came over every now and then.
Growing up in a busy city far far away from his homeland, Taniwha tendencies of attracting the wrong people. when he was 15 he followed his mates into an abandoned factory watch was off-limits due to hazards. A few minutes in they come across one of there class mates tied to a chair in some sort of old smeltery. With an empty chair with rope next too it. Taniwha had a sicking feeling in his gut about what was going to happen, as one of the 3 school mates closes the door behind him. he knew what was going on, he looked down but an old machine and saw a metal rod that he knew was his only way of getting out of this situation he walked into. In that instance the teen that was behind him lunged towards Taniwha. was able to trip him up and he fell to the floor. Taniwha then picked up the metal rode and smacked another person running towards him in the head, he fell to the floor. the other two ran out of the of the factory. after helping the class mate get loose and helping him down and out of the factory the police turned up.
After alittle while being in a waiting room Taniwha's mother walked in with a very sad look in her face. Apparently the blow Taniwha had delivered to the bully had instantly killed him, and was not being charged for murder for being a minor and in self-defence due too his class mate.
Only a few months after this event Taniwha gave up on school because his mother and uncle were killed in a tragic house fire. The propane tank that was just outside of the kitchen where they were both cooking a feed had exploded, knocking both of them back and out. as the fire ravaged the house. 2 weeks before Taniwha's birthday he had become homeless and with no living family for support. He had become alone.
His first job at the age of 17 was in a lumber mill working 7 to 5. worked there for 3 years after when he found part time work at a construction site. he like it for a-little while, help him get some confidence as a handyman. Till he hang around the wrong crowd again. One night on the piss he was walking home from the pub when he came across one of his workmates that told Taniwha about a party tonight and if he was keen on drinking some more. As what pissheads do, they like to drink so he accepted the invitation. a few house later at the party trying to be social, one of the pissheads was getting into an argument with someone else, after a few minutes one pulled out a gun and started waving it around threatening to shoot anyone who moves. The one who was in with the arguing lunged towards the armed man and got shot. not much is remembered after that, when Taniwha awoken he found himself in a cell, by himself and alone. after an hour or so cops came into the cell. being completely hungover with a killer headache what happened last night was still in fragments. Taniwha was being accused of attempted murder with a firearm, and the only witness was in a coma due to the bullet that skipped off his skull, cracking the bone and damaging his brain. At the age of 23 he was Sentence to 5 years in imprison with good behaviour.
The years had gone by really fast and the only thing keeping Taniwha sane was book that were in the library, didnt help being dyslexic but helped with the time.
At the age of 28 he was released from prison but become antisocial by the end. Taniwha decided he was going to live as far away from anyone and having very little money due too his bank closing and all his stuff being sold off in auction that was in his apartment. All he had left was what was on him at the time. 50$ and an expired coffee voucher. He eventually found seasonal work an orchard some weeks later, what help him save up for supplies to go bush. where Taniwha spent the reminder of days looking and learning how to forage and hunt for his food. hunter gatherer as it were. Being in the bush for over a year Taniwha emerged to find the world that he hated so much, reduced to rotting walking corpses. the start of Z-day in his mind.
