Harry does his best to keep positive by keeping a light hearted nature when it’s needed, but has grown up in the apocalypse long enough to understand that there is a time and a place. His father had taught him that in the worse times, keeping an optimistic viewpoint helps create optimistic scenarios. Even in the worst of times he likes to take comfort in the things around him, especially nature. Growing up in the backwoods of the south with his brothers, nature, trees, lakes and creeks are some of his favorite places.
Harry likes to pop some jokes and tease a bit and does like taking the shit out of people that take stuff *too* seriously, but he understands authority and respects those that can take the job of a leader and is willing to follow those he deems a good leader. Under pressure, Harry can help get things done that are asked of him but he can’t delegate too easily himself, he can take care of himself or one he is protecting but don’t expect him to lead a squad to victory, he leaves that to others.
As the second oldest brother of his family, he learned to help take care of his younger siblings as well as be pretty good with kids, especially boys. Though the loss of his family has weighed very heavily on his heart and his ability to grow close to another person in such a way, in fear of losing them like he did his family.
He has a fear of taking care of others in the sense that he does not want to be responsible for more people's death, as he currently feels with the loss of his father and oldest brother. This weighs heavily on his reactions and abilities. With his lack of community and nomadic lifestyle as of late, he has struggles working with groups and communities, being alone for the few years that he has been.
Character Motivations
While Harry originally wanted death after the loss of his family, two things have primarily kept him going. The first being a promise to his dying father, a promise he holds close to his heart. A promise he and his oldest brother made for the dying wishes of their father, he was told to live and get the family through this all. His family was a family of survivors and they were hardened and “too tough to let this ruin them” and he would continue to be the living testament to the Yeller family's tenacity and endurance.
The second is the slim chance to find his remaining family members. A year back he and his brother got separated from their three younger siblings and their aunt, due to a large horde and bad terrain, they promised to regroup after it was safe. Though Harry and his brother searched high and low, they never found their missing siblings. While his brother had given up hope, Harry knew his siblings, while young, were still smart enough not to get themselves killed, especially while together, and still holds the belief that they are alive, seeing traces of them heading north, leading him to the current location.
Physical Appearance
Harry has a weathered, tired face, with smile lines and a faint amber/brown set of rested eyes. His hair is kept short enough to not get in his ways, but his haircut has not been the best due to lack of proper hair dressers in the apocalypse. He shares primarily brown/sandy brown hair while adorning some stubble around the lower half of his face.
About 5’11”, he is well built from being rather athletic both by choice before the apocalypse and necessity after the apocalypse. He is slightly on the slim side, he still has enough strength to get higher than average feats done when he needs to.
A couple of old work scars on his hands at the shop, he has a few more scrape and bruises along his arms and legs from the lifestyle of a nomadic survivor, especially one that stays in the wilds, but at least it’s given him fair, weathered skin to compliment his wild lifestyle.

Biography
Harry Grew up in the backwoods of a small town located in the lower southern America main land. Learned to walk through the forests, climb trees, and shoot 22.’s. His life was a simple one, being homeschooled for the first half of his life, while helping his father at their local engine shop, as well as playing with his siblings exploring the forests, swamps, and other terrains around their home.
Growing up this way, he learned a lot about nature, plants, animals, hunting, fishing, and foraging. He focused more on these than some of his studies but kept up well to keep a basic education. Once he was around 13, he started going to public school, while also helping out more in the shop with his father, learning mechanics for many types of engines, from car, boat, generators as well as other pieces of related technology. He never learned to operate or drive any of the vehicles the engines he worked on went into, but he enjoyed the complication of repairing and building the engines themselves.
At 15 is when everything changed, the start of the apocalypse had begun, and even the small town Harry lived in was not spared. His family did their best to survive and stay put, but the loss of his mother and sister had forced them out of their old home, the remainder of the family, Harry, his father, oldest brother, aunt, and three younger brothers. They survived on the go, not stopping due to threats of the undead, or less than friendly survivors.
The years were not good on the young Harry, but for the years they travelled, they optimized their nomadic lifestyle over the year, rotating with the surviving animals, fishing and foraging, avoiding civilization as best they could to avoid the more threatening enemies.
As the second oldest, he worked hard with his brother and father in order to carry their family to safety, which was a hard task to handle as a teenager into a young man. One fateful encounter with some hostile survivors had fatally injured Harry’s father, who tasked the survival of the rest of the family to his two oldests and their aunt, including Harry. Harry did his best to listen to his father’s wishes, but his brother took the loss a lot more harshly, and after the separation from the rest of the family, had further lost hope. Harry would later find his brother had committed suicide and had left him to fend all by himself, which while a horrible truth, the promise to his father and duty to find his surviving family members kept him going.
Keeping him going, he tracked his family members even further north, landing him in Monroe county, the now 29 year old continues his adventures to keep his promise, a sense of honor to his dying father and the family members that died before him.

At this point, Harry would most likely have a hiking pack and some sort of durable knife. While is trained with rifles, he had long since lost his last firearm as the years went past.

5 Sneaking (Harry had too many variables to handle direct combat, and would prefer using sneak attacks with his knife to take out enemies. As well as being a hunter, he knew lots about stealth to track his prey.)
