≫ WHAT'S UP WITH GATEWAY ROLEPLAY? ≪
- We've been radio silent for a long time now. We posted an announcement in our Discord server back in April of 2025, but never updated the forums. So what's up with Gateway Roleplay?
After 5 long years, we've decided to place the development of Ties That Bind on an indefinite hold.
This doesn't mean it's cancelled. We fully intend to run Ties That Bind: What Lies Beneath and Ties That Bind: City of Angels eventually. But to do so, we need to take a step back. In the meantime, we'll be working on smaller, invite-only projects.
Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us this long! MindGate and I (Pika) have been working on this server for over a decade now. It truly is a passion project for us.

- It isn't completely clear that you've read the lore. Your biography contains nothing directly relating to it. The most important thing to note is that we are currently 14 years into the apocalypse. It began in February 2015, and it is now June 2029 in-game.
- Additionally, could you elaborate a bit more on what Buck has done for the past 14 years? It's a long time—there's a lot that can be done in that amount of time! You don't need to add much more. A few sentences will suffice.

I am the only child of a half wealthy family, I am 26 years old; born 2003.
I have served among law enforcement once upon a time; I have some history to myself;
When I was young, My dad was killed in a car crash, because of a drunken driver.
years later my mother had a severe heart attack that put her into intense care, she was hospitalized (Not a traditional hospital that you are thinking of, but a makeshift one.) within the torn compound we claimed sanctum for about 2 years, But when I was 14 she was well on the way of getting better, until when we celebrated her coming home, with shock she had another heart attack after an attack on the compound but... That heart attack took my mother away from me.
I have been under the guidance of my grandparents since;
My grandad was an ex - Helicopter pilot for the police force, He was awarded 3 bravery medals, in his 64 years of being in the police force.
So I wanted to follow him in his path & I did.

You've changed Buck's date of birth, but now it doesn't add up with the rest of the biography. If he's 26 currently, then he was 12/13 at the beginning of the outbreak. The whole bit about his mother's help doesn't make any sense because no hospitals would have been functioning after the fall of society. I'm not confident that you have a solid understanding of the lore yet.
Could you tweak Buck's backstory so that it actually follows the lore? Bump the thread again once you're finished. Thanks!

It is not a traditional hospital you are thinking of; I have removed the ages as it would simplify my background telling.
