Can be rather stubborn and hot headed at times. A loyal man, he'll follow whoever gained his full loyalty to the end of the world if he has to. May or may not disobey orders.

Biography
Rafael was born in Juarez in 1997; the first, and later on the older of the kids from the Garcia family. Son of Raquel Mendoza, a programer working for a tech firm in America, and Raul Garcia: a member of Fuerzas Especiales, the Mexican Special forces. He quickly found that his father was rarely around, but the few times he was Raul always tried to make up for the time gone.
His childhood was fairly normal, or at least as normal as it could've been as they lived in a time where Juarez wasn't the first place in mind to raise a family. Nontheless, he learned to keep to himself and take care of himself and his sister. Usually taking a few of the disks his parents owned to pass the time while they were alone.
Years passed with nothing out of the ordinary, besides a few incidents on his neighborhood that to this day he remembers like the murder of a man while he was walking back from school. This was reason enough to have both Raul and Raquel agreeing to move to Mexico City, even though both kids protested. His father, usually having a bit more influence on him told Rafael it was for the best, and for their own safety.
However, things slowly started to take a turn for the worst. As the Mexican Drug War became far more violent and intense, his mother tried to convinced Raul to leave the Army and look a job in the civilian sector. Where he would not only be gaining far more but also would be safe. With a heavy heart Raul told her that he had extended his contract, and was probably going to leave for training with the Americans.
Shortly after the news, some crying and a few shouting matches Raquel filled for divorce, along with the custody of the kids, arguing that it was going to be safer for them. This made Rafel be livid, as from his point of view even though his father wasn't always there, he was only trying to help the country and make the place a better one for the family. Things were tense for a while, until his father intervined, telling him that his mother was right and it was for the better.
After accepting his new reality, and the family splitting. He and his mother repaired their relationship, both knowing that after all, they were just doing what they thought was best for them. He still kept seen his father when he could, learning a few things here and there from him.
As the years passed, and high school became university. He got the opportunity to go to the United States in a scholarship, in Illinios University. For the first time he was away from his family, and Mexico itself. He tried his best to keep contact with his family, especially his sister. But the new schedule he had made it hard to do. He still enjoyed the time there.
Later on, with the suggestion of a friend of his, he joined the US Army in an attempt to get citizenship. Something that his mother was against, nontheless by the time she learned it was too late. His father in the other hand was happy with the decision, although did complain about him not joining the Mexican Army.
After going through Basic Combat Training, he was shipped to Texas, where he started AIT in Fort Sam as a Combat Medic, learning how to keep a man alive after getting shot, or worse. During this time he also had his sister come visit Texas.
During a hot day in July, as he was in training with one of the guest instructors. All hell broke loose, as the chaos fell upon the base, he and his instructor got together. Along with a pilot from the Joint Base, he escaped the area, and soon after he looked for his sister. After that, not knowing what the future will bring he waits, praying for whoever would listen... Hopefully things on Mexico are better.
