Character Name
Larry Thorn
I Agree
Yes
Has this character appeared in a previous lore?
No
Age
44
Blood Type
O | Negative
Personality
Larry doesn’t give much away on the surface. He is practical, unforgiving, and fiercely independent. This rough exterior is easily passed through his relationships with the people around him. His idea of being independent from others is always struck down by his parental nature.
Character Motivations
Larry believes that he functions better without associating himself with new societies and that the world is doomed. However, he has a faint hope that the world will return to 'normal'. His goal is to simply survive, however, he does take steps to further civilization when he sees the right opportunity.
Physical Appearance
He smells like booze, nothing in particular or maybe a little bit of everything. He has a southern accent, probably from somewhere in the Appalachians. He has a full beard and brown short hair, both appear to be well kept and he seems groomed if not a bit rough around the edges at times. The eyes tell the story brown with the familiar look of mistrust that most survivors have.

Biography
Larry Henry Thorn grew up in Union County, Tennessee and graduated from Union County High School in 2002 and enlisting in the Infantry and serving 28 months in-country (Afghanistan) and going to college and becoming a history teacher and starting a family. He married Kellie Hall in 2006 and in 2007 his son, Larry Hugh Thorn II was born. Tragically in 2009 Kellie was killed in a car accident on her way to work. Since then Larry Senior raised his son as a single father until the initial out break when Larry Junior was killed by a speeding truck trying to flee the town. With the loss of his son and the realization that even if the government retained control his life would never be normal again. Larry left his rural town in Tennessee and travelled north hoping that the cities would be silent as the undead and survivors starved out during the early years of the outbreak. Larry travelled into the mountains and followed the Appalachian trail north into North Carolina. He remained solitary and kept himself as far away from civilization (or what remained of it) as possible staying in the mountains for several years before infected became more prominent. He supposed they had all started to starve out in the cities and the forest animals attracted those that remained. So, when the infected arrived he began to hike out of the Appalachians he knew that encounters with people would be more frequent and adopted the policy of, "Walk softly and carry a big stick". Remaining vigilant he used old hiking trails and if necessary travelled along back roads making sure to stay off of main areas of traffic. This isolation took a toll on his social abilities and has grown to be generally unpleasant to be around or have to make conversation with. He passed by any large cities in New York and ended up travelling through Monroe County where he believes that perhaps he might call this place not home but a dwelling.
