Biography
I went to school and was a bit of a social outcast except for the 2 friends I had, I stuck with them through thick and thin and they stayed with me, once we graduated I then went on to be a volunteer firefighter while I got all the needed creds to become full time, just as I was getting settled down in life everything went to shit while I was on the job... Burning house, quite a normal call to go to, but once we get there everything got too weird and it still seems like a dream, hell sometimes it's in my dreams at night, this woman comes screaming towards us as soon as we arrive bloodied and burned all in hysterics. She gets deadpan serious "He's dead," she says and passes out at our feet back facing the air and a baseball-sized chunk of flesh on her shoulder. We start to treat the woman and call it into the medics otw while myself and a couple others start to hose down the building and check for survivors, as I get to the bedroom there's a man on the floor trapped under a fallen wardrobe moaning in pain. I go over and push the wardrobe off of him and he tries to scrabble up as I tell him he needs to stay down so I can help him. He wouldn't, or couldn't listen and looked like he was in no shape to physically be able to stand or even be alive, he had a 4-inch thick piece of wood going through his chest and out his back, a broken leg; bone completely visible, and yet he stood and I ran. I've seen the start to enough zombie shows that I knew what I was looking at when it stood in front of me.
Since then I've been constantly on the move as I didn't want to be the one just hope that the world was going to stay the same, going from one place to the next, helping people in exchange for simplicities to continue my travels, a quick patch job for a broken arm, killing a zombie that got into the store shed, sharing some meat I caught, or even just sharing some tales, as times have gone on my hope has dwindled and my knees have grown weary as I walk into Monroe County, New York. I hope something changes soon...
