Biography
Coyle Doroshenko does not remember his parents-He only remembers the Kalinigrad orphanage in which he spent most of his childhood in.To contrary belief, it was not as miserable as other would expect-Coyle was able to look back at it with mostly good memories, thanks to the kind people who took care of him and the other children ,even despite the lack of funding they recieved.At the same time, it is not like remembered anything particular...It was more like a jumbled mess of days stringing into week stringing into years.
Either way, he got adopted by the age of 12 by an american couple-Who despite being in Russia for the better part of 2 years, had barely any interest in talking to him in any language but english.Soon after, he found himself in Texas,just as confused as his newfound parents paraded him around during family gatherings, trying their best for him to catch up on learning the language.Once again, days blended into weeks, but they were much more pleasant. Coyle even made a few friends, known for his kind and expressive nature, if a bit reserved at times.
It must have been a cruel joke for things to go to shit only an year after.He did not understand the news that well, but judging by his parent's reactions, it seemed like something very bad was happening, day by day and week by week.Until one week, he was forced to pack all of his things, urgently-then, there was a long drive through the woods, right over to some cabin Coyle has never seen before.
His mom told him that she loves him very much, but he will have to stay with his grandpa for now-Wait, he had a grandpa?Too confused to speak, he just nodded, watching them drive off before an old man invited him inside.
They did not talk much, but Coyle felt more comfortable with him than with any other person so far.There was something about a comfortable silence as he showed him just how to clean and polish a rifle, prepare meat, and eventually-hunt. He read books for him sometimes too,which meant his level of english did not stagnate at 13-But it's not like it was great.
Once again, days until the incident would be over and his parents would be back turned into weeks turned into months, and in the end-15 years. Coyle has grown into a mature and kind, if not slightly shy man-He has also had plenty of experience handling what his grandpa only describes as 'monsters', but it did not mean he still wasn't absolutely terrified anytime he saw one,quietly sobbing at night.
Still, they were surviving comfortably, in the middle of nowwhere and entirely self sufficient. So comfortably, in fact, that the apocalypse just began being the new normal...
Even so, his grandpa dying of old age was comforting and peaceful in a way. He spoke to him more than he ever did during his final moments as he smiled at him, and Coyle knew what he wanted to do.He wanted to get out of those woods and look for any people he could help out, just like his grandfather did for him. And he did just that, nomadically traveling around Texas, helping communities and people in need while avoiding any and all conflict between humans he could. Sometimes he stayed for a month, sometimes for an year-But he never settled in one spot, even if he liked teaching the children in some communities, as well as just playing with them.
But now?Well, it seems like he could not avoid conflict for long.Being confronted by CPF forces while hunting, he surrendered peacefully, thus leading to a lengthy interrogation where he only said the truth-due to that, the leader of the expedition into Texas saw it fit to 'allow' Coyle to work as their guide-Being watched over and treated like a 'wild man' due to his infrequent problems with wording himself.
