And if 'Company Man' is going to be useless in this scenario, maybe I can pick something else like Lawyer or Silver Tongue? Or not, I picked Company Man because it seemed the most applicable to the character, regardless of mechanics.

Abilities can be SUPPORT or COMBAT. What you have picked right now works fine, lucky is a passive ability. I think I'd recommend going for Lawyer or Silver Tongue as those feel like they'd have more tangible use. His bank isn't associated with any major corporations and the knowledge would be fairly mundane.

APPROVAL INFORMATION:
After a long, strange day at work—one where he was nearly the only one to show up, the rest of the office absent due to some inexplicable illness—Johnny decided to unwind in his usual way. He drove to Frank's 24/7 Diner in the next town over, a place that had become his second home and eased into his usual booth by the window, where he could watch the world go by while pretending he wasn’t part of it. Frank slid him a slice of the best apple pie this side of the county line without a word spoken. Johnny liked that about Frank—no small talk, just the essentials. A man who understood that sometimes all you needed was a fork, a cup of coffee, routine and nothing more.

As he made his way out, Johnny handed Frank his usual tip which was just shy of generous and headed for the door, only to bump into a homeless man who seemed particularly odd. Nonetheless, Johnny tossed a few quarters into the man’s cup, expecting nothing more than a mumble of thanks or a "God Bless". Instead, he was met with a guttural groan that sent a chill racing down his spine. It was unsettling, more than he cared to admit, but he chalked it up to the guy being so far gone on booze he could barely form coherent sounds—who was he to judge?

As Johnny drove home, blue lights flickered in his rearview mirror heading in the direction of the diner, snapping him out of his daze. The streets were unnervingly empty, and he couldn’t help but wonder if that red smudge on his cuff was really from his pie or that like the grimy, gnarled fingers of that vagrant reaching for him. Just then, he saw a woman with her thumb stuck out by the roadside. It was Francine Ross, looking desperate. She jumped into the car, rattling off a story about missing friends, a train derailment, and strange occurrences around town. Johnny couldn’t shake the feeling that he may have overlooked some very strange behavior earlier in the day.

All he wanted now was to get home, back to his cat, to safety, and ultimately, to his routine. Surely, this exceedingly weird and unsettling day would be nothing but a distant memory by tomorrow.
