Yes
Has this character appeared in a previous lore?
No
Age
57
Personality
Ray is generally a jovial retiree, but can be a bit grouchy if people are disrespectful. He doesn't really have a filter on his mouth, as he is too old and seen too much in his former line of work to really care anymore. However, he does try to maintain civility and tact, and has no conflicts with anyone unless they bring them through his doors.
His main goal in life is to live a peaceful retirement by meeting new people at his Bar & Grill and wait for the day his children pop out some grandkids for him to spoil.
Physical Appearance
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 210 lbs.
Hair Color: Grey
Eye Color: Brown
Ray is older now and has a number of wrinkles and tougher looking skin due to his many years as a firefighter and outdoors man. Because of this, he looks somewhat older than he is. He maintains his physical health, exercising and staying in shape, and so still has a muscular, for an older guy, body.

Biography
Ray was born on Oct. 4th, 1962 to a lower middle class family, and like many kids of his time, he wanted to grow up to be a firefighter, astronaut or policeman. His hometown of Llano, TX was a small, quiet and mostly redneck town, home to about three thousand people. Many were ranchers or farmers in the area, and he grew up going to the local schools that bused in kids from miles around to the central location.
Being more of a country town, he was raised outdoors, hunting, fishing, swimming in the local watering hole and wandering the woods until he knew the area like the back of his hand. As with many kids who grow up in a town with nothing to do, he got in some minor trouble in his youth, but nothing malicious or mean spirited. Just boys (and girls from time to time), bored and entertaining himself. His most legendary story was the time he stole a combine tractor and drove it down main street through town. He got a whoopin' for it, but that's about it.
Eventually, he settled on becoming a firefighter, but because the town was so small, there was no room for him to find a job there. So after finishing school and going through training to become a firefighter, he packed his few belongings, and drove south to San Antonio. There he got a job in the south portion of the city as a firefighter, and worked in the same station for his entire time as a firefighter.
After sometime, he got married to a girl named Hayley, and they had two children, Garrett and Anita (Annie). Life was pretty normal for a firefighter family, and they lived comfortably for many years. Ray and Hayley did have their issues, and eventually began to fall out of love until they separated soon after their kids moved out. It wasn't a messy separation, they were just like many people these days and decided they were better friends than lovers. A few years later, Ray retired with a full pension and decided to move to a small town to the south, Joan's Hollow.
There, he took up his newer passion of cooking, for which he had a great talent, and starting his own bar and grill to keep him occupied in his retirement. It turned out to be a great success, attracting people from the surrounding area for a hearty meal and a cold beer. When the apocalypse hit suddenly, he did his best to help his neighbors, but there was little he could do but board up his windows, and hunker down.
Before communications became impossible, he spoke to his son and daughter. Luckily, they both managed to find safeplaces in their respective towns and were ok. He told them he loved them, and that they should stay put to take care of their own family and friends. He wasn't able to contact his wife however, and hopes she is ok. Determined and stubborn, he has a mind to get his restaurant up and running again, to create a meeting place for friends and survivors to forget the hell of the outside world for a bit.
