Personality
Jessie is a caring guy, always willing to help out his friends and family when they ask. He's a strong believer in treating others the way he wants to be treated, unless they screw him over first. He's loyal and trustworthy when he finds the right person, which made him a sought out friend in high school. His empathy is what made him want to become a nurse when he was a freshman.
Of course, he isn't all good. He tends to sacrifice his own health for the sake of taking care of others. He can also be rather impulsive whenever he feels bored. He holds grudges for longer than most people, and wronging him puts you on his dislike list. This trait makes it hard for him to work with people, though he can work with people he dislikes when need be.
Despite his struggle with his mental health, he can keep calm in stressful situations (though, he tends to freak out if it's a life or death type situation.) He has an aura of determination that surrounds him most of the time, and he is almost always working to make himself better in some way.
Physical Appearance
Jessie is a mixed Mexican/African American guy that has a light complexion. His brown hair has tight curls that tend to dangle right above his eyes. He usually has an awkward smile on his face and a light blush on his freckled cheeks, said blush becoming more prominent when stressed. No matter how hard he tries, he can't seem to grow anything more than a light mustache above his top lip.
He can be seen in baggy clothes -- hoodies and sweatpants most of all -- and a dingy pair of black Nike knockoffs he's had since he was 12. Sometimes he dresses up in jeans and whatever tee-shirt he can find around his room. He has two tattoos, one his mother drew up for him -- a unique depiction of the solar system -- and the other is to honor the late family dog, mayo.

Biography
Jessie Hernandez was born in Oaxaca, Mexico in February of 2000. He grew up with his mom, his father, and his two little sisters, María and Elizabeth. They were not rich, but they were together and Jessie knew that was all that mattered. The whole family moved to Plymouth just before Jessie turned 10. Knowing little English, Jessie had a tough time adjusting to the new people and new country. It didn't help that the other kids were rude to him, making fun of his accent and the way he dressed.
He pushed through, even after his mother and father divorced and he had to be sent between both houses every week. The bullying slowly stopped when Jessie made himself ignore everyone and dive into his studies, but a few chirps were still sent his way every now and then. Freshman year, he had his first kiss with a boy named Adam, but nothing ever came of it. Instead, he found himself crushing on both the newspaper club founder, Heather Bushman, and a football player named Elijah Smith.
He ends up dating both in his 4 years, breaking up with only Heather after finding out she was going out of state for college. Now, he's attending the community college in Plymouth, majoring in nursing. He's currently single, yet he's pretty happy with how his life's going at the moment.
Well... was happy. Too bad there's a zombie outbreak right before he's planning on visiting his family.
