Personality
Marlene is, in short, snippy as fuck. She's mean. She's got a perpetual 'tude. She thinks she's hot shit, and she's always game to let everybody know. She doesn't get along with goody two shoes or holier than thou types, but she's fairly likely to befriend people whom she might see as "down to earth," or as mean as she is.
Her goals consist primarily of survival, at this point. She isn't super into the idea of making friends right now, but she's not going to dismiss potential comrades out of hand. After all, she'll need help to make it through this—even if she doesn't want it.
Physical Appearance
Marlene is tall~ish at 5'8", with shoulder-length blonde hair and brown eyes. At 145 pounds, she's slender but surprisingly strong, and both quick and nimble. She carries herself with a totally unwarranted confidence, and suffers from TRBF—Terminal Resting Bitch Face.

Biography
Marlene is a Texan, born and bred, and it shows: From a young age, she was always bold and willful, absolutely full of brass and convinced she was God's gift to the earth. She was born to working class parents in Laredo, and she was an unremarkable student throughout school, opting to enter the workforce instead of pursuing post-secondary.
As an adult, she found that life—in general, but also hers specifically—sucked butt. She hated busting her ass to make ends meet, typically as a barista or waitress, and so she pursued a very soul-sucking online writing career that allowed her the freedom to live life her way. Things were quiet, but tolerably average.
While visiting an aunt in San Antonio, the whole world ended. The dead began reincarnating as zombies, people started shooting each other, and in general the state of affairs deteriorated beyond her liking. Still, Marlene soldiered on, mostly out of spite, and fought her way out of San Antonio's south side after her aunt was eaten like a little wussy fucko.
She is now wandering the highways hoping to find people to hunker down with, or possibly a good bottle of rosé to chug before she blows her own brains out.
