Personality
Bartholomew has proven to be an altruistic soul. He's an older gentlemen, and as such holds much wisdom behind that wrinkled forehead of his. He expresses kindness and spreads hope to those around him in these perilous times. Bart hasn't many goals left to accomplish, his only one remaining is to live the remainder of his life in the benefit of others. Trying to assist all those that he can, while they walk their own journey.
Bart is not a pacifist, though he talks negatively of war. Calling it a worthless endeavor that'll cost everything you have and then some. He promotes health and safety of the people first and foremost. Along with that, the health of the mind is a topic of importance to Bart. Trying to spread such concern to those around him during this time of neglect of self.
Physical Appearance
Bart is an elderly gentlemen, and it's evident upon seeing him. His wrinkled skin is dry to the touch, the moisture sizzled out from many years spent working underneath the sun. His mouth is crooked, his ears jut out to the side awkwardly, one sleeve is tied off where his elbow should be. A clear indication of his missing appendage. Bart's hunchback stifles his true 6 foot height by four inches. He seems to be losing weight with his age and the circumstances, clocking in at about 144 pounds currently.

Biography
Born on March 21st, 1942 to a rural family in the south-western state of Texas, Bartholomew Cabot entered the world. His family lineage stretching back to what used to be wealthy northerners, falling upon harder times down after business ventures in the south. Bart's childhood hadn't much of an education other than working the family farm. He was taught, out of necessity, to read and write so the boy could read his bible. Basic mathematics and economics for farm work was also necessary, yet past that Bart never quite had the academic upbringing that most did. The friends consisted mostly of his cousins and other family, with the spread out nature of the farms anything past that was neigh impossible.
As Bart blossomed into a young adult, the world was being ravaged all over. The world had entered a Cold War not long after his birth, and soon enough the world would stand on the brink. He had intense curiosity of the world around him, and a desire to leave behind his confining life to explore the world of the unknown. His shackles were the duty he held to his family, though, those soon too wouldn't be enough to keep him there. As such, at the age of 25, Bart was drafted into the Vietnam War. Bart would be assigned to the 11th Infantry Brigade, and in December of 1967 was sent into Southern Vietnam. Before his departure, Bartholomew gave a promise ring to a woman he'd known only three weeks prior.
Their brigade assigned to Charlie Company would experience it's own fresh hell. They experienced 28 casualties by mid-March. Some of which were friends of Bart, others were enemies, some were just passing faces. It would begin a nudging question that wouldn't leave Bart for a long while. Things came to a head as a popular sergeant was blown just about all over Vietnam from a landmine. Tragedy was soon to follow, though they would not be the victims of it. Instead, Charlie Company found themselves the abusers. Bartholomew was present for one of the most horrific moments of the Vietnam War, the My Lai Massacre.
Bart committed atrocities that he'd never be tried for. Firing indiscriminately at V.C. and civilian alike. Reprimanding didn't come until far later, far too late. Instead what came was a congratulatory letter to Charlie Company. Bart's faith to God was tested. It began him on his journey to understand the world around him and his place within it. Months later, during an engagement an F1 grenade landed nearby Bart's feet. In an attempt to throw it back, it exploded in his hand. Part of his arm had to be amputated, and in consequence Bart was sent home early. Left to ponder the implications of his actions and his mark on the world.
Bart delivered on his promise ring, marrying the faithful and beautiful Theresa Lou, now Theresa Cabot. The marriage was a momentary uplift of Bart's sinking mental state. Thrown back into a world that not only did not want him, but did not understand him, Bart struggled with alcoholism for many years. Bart lived in Austin for near a decade, all the while he tried unraveling who he was and what he was doing. During this time he made very little money, and nearly relied entirely on his wife for income due to his disability.
Bart took this time to reconnect with his Father as well, who began to help lead him away from his drinking habit. His father similarly experienced troubles from war, his own being wrapped up in World War 1. Bart's father became his mentor that lead him away from his troublesome life, and when he passed Bart inherited the farm. Taking care of his mother in her final years, along with starting a family with his wife. Bart, despite his disability, tended the farm best he could. The work was hard and far longer than average farms, though he'd learned to value time he had left. The final lesson his father could teach him before time took him, too.
Bart continued to climb in age, having three kids, all of which being boys, to help him with the farm. They grew and grew, until they too left the nest, the final one leaving in the early 2000s. All that was left to Bart was his wife, himself, his farm, and his faith. At the end of the decade, his wife had unfortunately passed on. Bart began to consistently visit Saint Ann's Church. It became a daily routine, that followed for 9 years, up until the infection struck. When it had? Bart wouldn't want to be any other place than the church. That way he may at least die with his faith by his side.
