Personality
She is scared of what is going to happen next. She thinks about this while she is alone, which drives her to some levels of depression. Her fear is nothing compared to her loneliness. She is the type of person who greatly benefits from having other people around- it comforts her. Some people have described her as manipulative. When presented with the decision, she would protect herself over anyone else.
She is devoted to surviving, no matter what it takes. If anything stands in her way, she will take care of it the most efficient way possible - even if that means violence. She misses the old world, and will do anything to make her current situation more like what everything once was. Her dream is to have a nice house with a picket fence, and maybe a dog. Maybe she's living in the past, or could it be a passion for the future?
Physical Appearance
She is 5'9", has long blond hair, blue eyes, a bright white smile and long manicured fingers. Her facial features are very good looking, you could tell her she looks like a model and it wouldn't be a sarcastic insult. Most of the time, a pair of black cat-eye glasses are worn on her face. The sharp angles accentuate her cheekbones and jawline. She wears high heels whenever she leaves her living situation, and usually a nice blouse with a pencil skirt. On nice days she likes to wear one of the cocktail dresses she has found while scavenging through houses.

Biography
Valerie grew up in a standard suburban household in Long Island NY. Her dream was to become a business executive, but her parents urged her to go a safer route and become a secretary. Through middle and high school, she didn't have many friends. This lack of human connection only made her want it more, eventually becoming a problem to her when trying to make friends. Reading books and playing video games was what occupied most of her time in her youth. She valued her internet friends more than the few she made in real life.
While attending secretary school, she lived in a small apartment in a bad neighborhood. She befriended local homeless people who "guarded" her when she was out of the house. Of course, it ended poorly and she was mugged. She gained a scar on the inside of her arm when the thug cut her. She didn't go outside much at all, she would have bought a house in a nicer place if she planned on going out. She decided a 5 bedroom palace embedded in The Bronx was perfect for her.
Due to her excellent sco1res in school, she became a secretary to one of Wall Street's top CEOs. Her life was exciting, and she was very much in love with her boss. Many lunch dates and plentiful sexual tension in the office almost lead to a budding romance, but unfortunately, her boss was eaten by a pack of zombies. The solid 401k she was building, her pristine Ikea decorated apartment, The respectable wardrobe she had, all meant nothing after the zombies came.
At the first week of the zombie outbreak, Valerie was accompanying her boss on a business trip to Dallas. Immediately, most airports were closed before they were able to fly home. As panic started to rise among the general population, the company entourage became nervous. Frightened they may not be back in time for the budget meeting on Thursday, they decided to take a car and drive home. At about 7 days after the initial outbreak, t their small 4 car caravan was passing through Haven Texas when they were faced with an extremely large hoard. The details are gruesome, but Valerie was the only survivor. Covered in blood, she walked through the forest until she found herself in Ft. Holly, Texas where she has cried and hid in a house for the last three weeks. Luckily, the surrounding homes were full of enough canned foods to keep her alive for a while.
