Character Name
Dr. Trystan Dekker
I Agree
Yes
Has this character appeared in a previous lore?
No
Age
49
Personality
Trystan is a classic example of a British Doctor - appearing generally stern and apathetically cold. But he is, in fact, very morally righteous to almost outright stubbornness. He doesn't like violence but can hold his own in confrontation. He's always had a solid talent for talking sense into people, even if it means talking down to them. He doesn't care whether he's seen as the bad guy, for deep down he knows he'll always try to do right by anyone he meets. He'd still probably do all he can to save his worst enemy. He's a highly driven individual, pushed on by his iron will to do something rather than nothing.
But like all good men, he harbours demons deep down. There's a nagging doubt in the back of Trystan's mind that has cost him several patient's lives - and that guilt has piled up over the years he's given to other people.
Physical Appearance
Standing at just over 6'1" ft, 187cm, Trystan is a relatively tall man with a chiselled clean-shaven face. Dark, steadily greying brown hair stands up off his forehead. Whether this is natural or not has yet to be discovered. In any case, his body is of a slightly more slender build.
At the time of the crash, he is wearing a blue suit and white shirt, and an excellent silk-pattern tie.

Biography
Born September 17th, 1969, Trystan Oedipus Dekker grew up in an affluent family just south of Oxford, in Kennington. His mother passed away giving birth to Trystan - making his second name somewhat ironic. But, to him, it's all his mother gave him before she passed. Trystan's father, Stanley, found it grimly amusing, as was the tendency for the Dekker name to be fond of dark humour. Trystan grew up to be no exception, being brought up on classic British farce. He's particularly fond of Monty Python, and will occasionally quote it randomly at opportune moments.
Trystan's father, Dr Stanley Dekker, worked tirelessly as a General Practitioner to the British Public in service of the National Health Service. Even when the pay didn't come as fluently as desired, Stanley was dedicated to his duty. When asked by his son as to why he maintained his dedication, he answered with a quote from W.H Auden - "See, dear boy, 'We are here to help others - what the others are here for, I have no idea!'." - This quote would stick with Trystan in the years to come, quietly ushering Trystan towards a path of medicine. Along with igniting within Trystan a burning passion to help others.
Gifted with great intellect, Trystan hardly had much difficulty in his Private Boy's School. Joining the High-IQ society of Mensa, and then following A-Levels, going on to study Medicine at Oxford. When asked about his time in school and University, Trystan will almost always obnoxiously reply 'Oh, it was nothing.' - But a lot happened at University, and it changed him, but he'll rarely ever talk about it. It's an experience he wishes to forget.
Starting work, Trystan was trained up as a Professional Paramedic at the age of 26. Working solidly for ten years in this position, he then transferred to Emergency Medicine at 36 and worked diligently for yet another ten years. Then, as age and his father's death caught up to him, he's transferred yet again to Health Research with a specific interest in Herbalism, Psychoanalysis and Mental Health. He also harbours hope to go back to the NHS perhaps to train in being a Psychiatrist by the time he's 50. One thing he does know is that so long as he's alive, he'll stop at nothing to make other people's lives better. For that is all he can do for the people he's lost.
Yet, with all these plans, he certainly didn't expect a plane to throw a wrench into them. After visiting a conference in New York on the future potential of Herbal remedies concerning mental and physical health, Trystan was bound on a homeward flight on June 28th this year. Little could he have known its final descent would land at the wrong destination.
