What is your age?
22 (God help me time is fleeting)
Which timezone do you primarily live in?
PST
Approximately how many hours have you played on Gateway?
Oh God. I don't even want to say. It's humilating.... I have about 2600 hours in game and all but like maybe 100 of them are on Gateway / New Dawn. And if you include all the time I've spent on the forums, doing admin related stuff, or writing up character bios... shit guys you could probably almost double it. I mean I wouldn't be surprised if I spent close to 5,000 hours of my life on this, all things considered. This is a cry for help. Please.
Approximately how many hours do you play a week?
Ah hell, this varies like a motherfucker depending on what I got going on in my life and how busy I am. I really can't put it to an average. If I'm invested, I usually put a fair amount of time in.
Describe your roleplay experience.
All on New Dawn / Gateway. Uh, I guess some Discord roleplay too but that's all been centered around ND / GW. Also, Gateway is literally named after an alt account I made, like I'm your namesake guys. You have no choice but to accept me.
Have you ever been involved in roleplay leadership and/or creating a lore?
Mhmm. I helped a lot with creating the beginning of TRA before it got all supernatural and shit and I wrote a lot of the Bartertown lore around the middle. I pretty much ran the back half of the Cloverport lore (admittedly after it was already close to dead, but what can you do).
Have you ever been an admin on an online game? if so, for what groups and for how long?
This. On and off for literally years.
Do you have any skills that could help the team?
Despite my sarcasm and my tendency to go in somewhat hot as a player, I've actually found I'm pretty good at mediating disputes in an admin role. Credit goes to Professor Dressler and her Conflict Mediation course! (I kid that class was garbage). Uh, I also like to think I'm a fairly good writer and am good at centering things around the players. I've gotten some pretty positive feedback anyways. And I also have been told I'm pretty good at running events, particularly smaller scale "mini-events" so to speak.
I can also make fart noises by rubbing my shoulder against my neck.
What do you think you may need to improve upon in terms of being an admin?
nothing. I'm kidding, please don't hate me. I suppose I can sometimes get overly passionate about things, which I always end up feeling silly about because it's a game at the end of the day. But there have for sure been times I've felt very passionately about how the server should be run and have maybe overreacted when it doesn't pan out that way.
If you had to suggest a change to the way things are done on Gateway, what would it be?
Well, to be honest I've been fairly inactive for the last little while and given it's a new team I don't think I've been around long enough to give a detailed critique. I guess I could say maybe a bit more policing of the admin team, I've seen admins get away with stuff they probably shouldn't be doing and that's never fun. Of course, you gotta find that balance which is always a complex endeavor.
