So, now that the cat is out of the bag. I’m making a post about this.
Yes, I am the new co-owner of Gateway. And yes, I know how angry that makes some of you. I wasn’t aware of the bridges I have burned until quite literally today.
The reason I offered to pay for the community, though I may not show it, is that I love it. I love this place, and the people it has brought into my life as I’m sure it has for the rest of you.
I have not made the best decision or been the best admin or even person. And I acknowledge that. That being said, those I have wronged please come forward and message me privately on my discord. We will have a conversation, and I will apologize for my actions and do my best to right them as we move forward as a community.
That being said, I am adding old staff members back to the team who know the community better than I do. People who know how to listen, and may assist me in returning the community to its former glory. People I know will call me out if I am doing wrong, instead of letting me slip by like I have been.
I know this decision may seem fast to all of you, and I know how this looks. But, I hope you’re willing to give me a chance to prove that I have what it takes to listen to a community that deserves a voice.
