Character Name

I Agree
Yes
Has this character appeared in a previous lore?
Yes
Age
30
Blood Type
O Negative
Personality
Church is a quiet individual, keeping his opinions to himself under most circumstances. He'll often elect to simply observe the happenings around him and if need be leave without a word spoken. He was never fond of leadership, usually content with being just another loyal cog in the machine, however, if the situation calls for it he'll stand up to the plate. Church isn't fond of murder by any means, but he understands the need for it in certain circumstances (drawing the line at children cause that's fucked). He tends to keep folks at arm's length, never really letting them get too close, aside from the occasional beer and chuckle.
Character Motivations
Survive. Plain and simple. He doesn't have much in the way of family nowadays, so survival is his main concern. Though if others do inevitably enter his life, he'd likely place their lives above his own.
Physical Appearance
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 160lbs
Church has a very relaxed and casual demeanour, blending into crowds fairly well. His jawline is sharp however his beard rounds it out considerably and his dark brown hair is kept short so it doesn't get in the way when working. His grey eyes often look tired, with bags collecting just below them.
Apparel: Blue jeans, black leather jacket, sneakers, rucksack, holstered beretta, strapped canteen, axe (attached to bag)

Biography
My name is Isaac Churchill and I was born in Muldraugh, Kentucky on January 20th, 1983 to a coal miner father and a stay at home mom. My dad worked 10 hours a day, six days a week so I never saw much of him. Probably for the best though, he tended to whoop my ass a bunch. The old guy wasn’t all bad I suppose, before he died he used to take me out hunting. Always said the sound of a dying animal was “better than your mother’s nagging.” Yeah, he was an alcoholic asshole with very few redeeming qualities.
Errr, high school? Fine I guess. I went out with the guys a lot, bush parties and whatnot. Was never really my thing though, but hey, I made a good buck reselling my Pa’s whiskey to those football team douchebags. I had a couple friends and girlfriends back then, but never really got close to any of them. About halfway through high school, a mine explosion took my Pa, really rattled my mom and I. I really couldn’t believe it when they first told me, my dad had been a tough motherfucker after all, but I guess it didn’t matter in the end. Bombed my tests that year, I didn’t think his death would bother me all that much, but it did. After that my uncle (another coal miner) had to step in and take care of us financially. I graduated in 2001, eighteen years old and ready to take on the world. Figured I’d go to college for forestry, the logging business was dangerous, but a heck of a lot safer than coal mining. Except one thing stuck a wrench in those plans.
Operation Enduring Freedom
I believe I was in my college dorm when I heard about 9/11. The whole country felt like they were personally sucker punched. And like being punched, there’s those that curl up in a ball and there’s those that get fuckin mad. I happened to be one of those mad folks, thus I enlisted about a week later. Boot camp was rough, the complete annihilation of the individual and the creation of just another cog in the machine. I ended up scoring fairly high on my ASVAB so I moved on to reconnaissance training. The courses were extensive and gruelling, but at the end of it all I came out with my gold parachuting wings and my diving certification.
My first deployment was in Afghanistan, by the time I had finished training and arrived there the Taliban had been pushed out of power and the reorganization of the nation was beginning. We were tasked with supporting the 1st marine division with division reconnaissance. I don’t really feel like going into detail about my experiences there, let’s just say trekking up a rocky steep mountain with 100lbs on your back far behind enemy lines isn’t what I’d call fun. Skip forward a couple years, deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq, and it was soon 2005. My tour of duty was complete and I was honourably discharged from the USMC.
When I got out of the Corps I finally went back to college and worked my way into the lumber business. I work at McCoy’s Lumberyard now, mainly just keep to myself now. I go out hunting with some other vets the odd time, but uh yeah, mainly just keep to myself.
(I know this is a military character and will probably be vetted to a higher standard, so just hmu in DMs if you want finer details. I didn't go too deep because I detest lengthy bios. Also, this is my first time doing it in 1st person so, mercy please.)
