Jamie's only real goal is to keep his team alive by doing this he believes that he must find somewhere to bunker down and set up until any relief effort is made, due to the nature of the infection, he is not sure who to trust. He will help any civilians if he is not put it any danger but will not put his life on the line for someone he does not know. Since the beginning of the outbreak Jamie is not like his usual self and is more reserved and quiet, possibly pondering on his next move as any mistake could be fatal for his group.
Character Motivations
Jamie's only real motivation is to keep his team alive, if this fails then his mission would be fundamentally over, leaving him with nothing, he wants to find somewhere secure to set up a base of operations in which he is able to provide security for his team and any uninfected trustworthy civilians which may seek to join them.

Biography
Jamie Fisher was born in 1987 in California. His father, Michael Fisher , was a Vietnam veteran and suffered from severe PTSD. When Jamie was four years old his father got into an argument with his mother over the monthly bills and expenses which led to Michael pushing his wife Sarah over. Sarah hit her head on the side of the counter and she bled out before the EMT arrived. Michael was charged with Murder and a four year old Jamie was put into social care.
During his academic years Jamie performed quite well getting above average grades in most subjects, there was an exception in history and English literature however, as he enjoyed the subjects, and did well in them, his teachers expecting him to take them both at a college level. He excelled in sport and athletics, He specifically enjoyed running and soccer. His foster parents James and Jane Fairbanks brought Jamie up well but the thought of his parents haunted him. At the age of 12, Jamie received the news that his father had died from Liver failure which hit him hard even though he barely knew the man. This motivated him to join the army as a form of following in his fathers footsteps, after completing basic education he signed up in 2004 at the age of 17. After 52 weeks of basic training Jamie was the rank of Private Second Class (PV2). By 2008 Jamie had climbed to become a Private First Class (PFC) and was deployed to fight the war on Terror in Afghanistan. Jamie's Company were fighting as a detachment to Help in Operation Asbury Park. The fighting took place in the provinces of Oruzgan and Zabul which were under the Dai Chopan region. During the operation communications were lost for a period of around 30 minutes. In this time, Jamie's Squad was strafed by an A-10 Warthog which led to four of his squad mates, including his Seargent being Killed in action. After this, he couldn't bring himself to keep fighting along side the United States Army and had an early retirement in 2006.
Jamie still sought out the thrill and comradeship that the armed forced brought him but wished to have it more on his own terms, in mid 2010 he was sought out by Members of Ravenwood Contactors, a well established group of Private Military Contractors who made a name for themselves following Blackwater PMC's downfall after war crimes were committed by them in early 2010, Ravenwood had many contracts which included the escort of VIP's and convoy protection. During this time Jamie had made a name for himself in the company, attracting some amount of attention from higher ups in the company which led to him climbing the pay bracket quicker than most which was followed by more responsibility in the company. By mid 2011 Jamie was in charge of his own team and was frequently escorting Iraq's most important business men around the country for large sums of cash. This all came crashing down following the wind down of American intervention in Iraq by the end of 2011, Soon the Iraqi army and police filled the roles in which Ravenwood did, and before long they were practically driven out of the country due the contracts handed out by the US government drying up.
The company remained afloat throughout 2012, primarily operating in Bosnia as high grade security for rich arms dealers, though this was not the work Jamie had envisioned, it was still work and it paid quite handsomely. By the beginning of 2013 their work in the Balkans had finished and the company recalled all assets to the states until more work was found. Following the beginning of the outbreak in the US a deal was struck with the department of defense and the and the Ravenwood Private Contractors, in return for the removal of all debt to the company, the Contractors would work to assist the security of civilians and certain key installations throughout the country. Jamie and his team were assigned to a key road junction outside of Muldraugh and were told to try and slow the wave of traffic and provide assistance to those in need. After 8 days, the tide of traffic stopped and instead was replaced by small packs of infected which threatened to dislodge the team from their position.
