Personality
Clayton has had a change for the better in his recent years, being described by his peers as a cooperative and kind person. His straightforward altruistic nature can be attributed to the fact he wants to repent for his past life. Prior to the outbreak, he had decided to live the rest of his life in penance, helping those in need while trying to find inner peace in himself.
Character Motivations
Having lived a brutal life of crime with activities he’d eventually regret, Clayton would begin the process of reforming before living out nearly a decade of his life in prison. His interactions with key individuals in his life would help him through a long road of rehabilitation as he’d suffer from low self-esteem and PTSD. At his current stage in life, he hopes to continue improving himself and helping others in what ways he can.
Physical Appearance
Standing at 5’10, his discernible features include brown hair, green eyes, with a tan complexion due to his time spent working outdoors. His body appears to be well-defined, suggesting an active lifestyle. He has a very minimalist approach to fashion, preferring more practical clothing over flashy ones.

Biography
Clayton was born into a low-income household consisting of his mother and two older sisters. Growing up in Grand Crossing, Illinois, life wasn’t easy as he’d lack early guidance figures. His mother was constantly out of the house due to work, and his sisters weren’t without their vices and faults. He turned to friends for companionship, which unfortunately introduced to him an early life of crimes. Circumstances in his life had continued to take a turn for the worse, as by the age of eighteen he’d dropped out of high school and with deteriorating family relations he’d be living from house to house with friends and on occasion being homeless.
Over the next six years of his life, he’d lead what Clayton would describe, a very unsatisfying lifestyle. Bouncing between Illinois, Kentucky, and Ohio, he was no stranger to illegal activities, particularly ones of violent nature in his later years of crime. Fairly frequently, his job was overseeing the protection of several clients in different criminal backgrounds which would lead to fighting that would inevitably end with lives taken.
Although his relationship with his sisters wasn’t stellar, the three had attempted to keep in constant contact and improve on what existed. They were family, and the three of them had suffered from a difficult childhood together. Clayton’s familial bond, however, would prove to be his undoing, as an unexpected visit to his older sister’s home had him witness an ex-boyfriend of hers physically abuse her. Full of rage, he’d storm inside, understanding full well what he was about to do. The actions he’d perform felt almost routine to Clayton, but a phone call from the other room and sirens blaring outside had cut his focus.
Caught red-handed with a jammed pistol pointed to the soon unconscious man’s face, his sentence was swift. Given twelve years for attempted murder and other charges related to the incident, he was originally incarcerated in U.S.P, Marion. Life in the pen was marked by boredom and unexpected positive changes. Serving his time had allowed him to partake in work programs offered, improve himself physically, and gave him an interest in reading. Fortunately for Clay, his two sisters began visiting around his fifth year serving, which inspired in him new goals and motivations in life.
During his time inside, the two of them had found a stable life in both states of Kentucky and Illinois. Stories of their improved life, and with a plan to repent for his misdeeds was he given hope to finish his sentence and to become a better human being. Although given a twelve-year sentence, he’d ultimately serve ten before leaving for the state of Kentucky to live with one of his sisters.
Two years had pass since his release and he would be living with his sister and niece in Louisville, Kentucky. Staying far from trouble, he would become employed within a year of his release and continued his road of mental recovery. With meaningful work in a local handyman business keeping him preoccupied, he would see off the two as they’d gone back to Illinois to visit the other sister. With tragic timing, he’d become separate from his family, and by the second week of the pandemic he would become one of many to be evacuated at the mandatory military pick-up zones.
