Personality
Anna is a woman of immense presence, intelligence, personality, and character—she’s free-spirited, vocal and willing to fight for herself to her last breath. She, however, has a cruel streak to her and is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve her goals, even if it means trampling over someone who doesn’t matter to her.
She has complicated morals—while she doesn’t want to do bad—she is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve her goals and ever-evolving motivations. Anna may have initial qualms about killing people, it would dissipate with time and she very much has the mental capacity of learning to ignore it completely so long as it keeps her and the people she cares about safe.
Character Motivations
For the first season, Anna’s motivation is to reunite with her daughter, sister, and boyfriend at the stadium at any cost necessary. From there, she will naturally gravitate to someone searching for some semblance of stability and control over the situation at hand—whether that be in the form of a group, or person.
Physical Appearance
Anna stands at five-foot-six and weighs one hundred and twenty-two pounds. She has a long, average face with blue eyes, blonde hair, a nose ring, and a tattoo on her neck. She has an average build with some muscle tone from exercise and is most often seen wearing practical clothing appropriate to whatever situation she may be in.

Biography
Born in December of 1983, Anna Marie Jamison grew up as the fifth and youngest child of a couple under immense pressure from financial issues, wanderlust, and failed dreams. Fred and Lydia, her parents, would decide on separating by her second birthday to pursue other relationships—but neither sacrificed their love for their children and decided to co-parent to maintain a stable household. Anna and her siblings went from a working-class neighborhood with their father, to living in the countryside with their mother every other week throughout their childhood leading to a clash of interests.
At the age of twelve, Anna was given the power to choose which of her parents she preferred living with; her father, a utility worker, or her newly wedded mother at her family ranch. She struggled with the option for a week before finally coming to her conclusion—she never was able to take to the idea of living in the countryside of Virginia, nor accept the idea of living with her mother’s new husband and his children—and chose to live with her father who offered her more independence in her hometown of Roanoke, Virginia.
Four years later and Anna was already working as a cashier and making a living for herself, she owned her own vehicle; a used 1990 Honda Accord and was a member of the WFHS (William Fleming High School) Varsity Cheer team. By the end of the year, she had met and entered a relationship with a quarterback, Donnie Jones, a charismatic self-made man of Georgian descent. They would remain together through high-school and briefly split off after graduating when she discovered that cheated on her with another cheerleader, but would get back together two weeks later.
Anna was a very ambitious woman with a plethora of dreams for herself—the most prolific being her desire to attend the University of Virginia to study law—but none of these would prove to come to fruition as she hoped. She sent in her application and was accepted with excellent marks but allowed herself to be manipulated by her boyfriend into moving away with him back to Georgia with him as he did not want to lose her. Three years later and Anna was stuck in a low-brow housing project working in construction alongside Donnie—who had succumbed to alcoholism after failing to go pro—with little to no hope of achieving her dreams, only made worse by her sudden pregnancy, accusations from him of infidelity and demands of an abortion. This caused her to come to the realization that she was searching for—her love had long dissipated for Donnie—and she left him and moved back to Roanoke where she reconnected with her ailing father and older sister. Shannon had no issue with her younger sister living with her alongside their father who was diagnosed with CHF (Congestive Heart Failure) a few months prior.
The new change in the environment allowed Anna to build her confidence and desire to achieve back up to where it was before she met Donnie. She wanted to go back into construction, but due to her pregnancy was forced to find a new—temporary—occupation as a bartender at a dive in one of the crummier parts of town. She was often the target of tattooed bikers, drunk businessmen, and low-rent criminals lust—and after close to three years of an unhealthy relationship—she found it flattering and began to “entertain” their thoughts with manipulation in order to get her way in many cases. Anna never had any sort of intercourse with any of them, her game was the temptation in return for tips to help with the bills.
While attending a family reunion in February of 2008, Anna would end up going into labor and gave birth to a baby girl. It was a surreal point in her life and despite the darkness that Donnie brought to her, she was optimistic about her new role as a mother. She settled on the name Dawn—signifying the light she brought to her life. She, however, was faced with the real trials, errors, and woes that come with being a single parent; all of the sleepless nights, dirty diapers, losing days and nights that were usually centered around yourself. It was a lot of responsibility that Anna came to quickly realize—that despite her best efforts—wasn’t ready for. She asked her sister for help, and Shannon quickly and without hesitation began to fill the role of a secondary parental figure.
The next couple of years passed by with unexpected speed—filled with happy memories of Dawn’s first words, steps, birthdays, and various trips around the United States with their ailing father. Anna and Shannon both knew and had come to accept that his time was coming after his diagnosis with Congestive Heart Failure with his belligerent nature and refusal to change his diet to better aid his health. He managed to hang on much longer than the doctor’s initially approximated but his twentieth trip to the hospital in under a year ended up being his final. The entire family was devastated by his loss but managed to cope, Anna was thankful her daughter even was able to meet her father and have any sort of relationship with him. Shannon, however, was hit harder despite coming to accept that the time was coming—she felt like a failure for a caregiver, feeling as if she could have done more for him in his final days—the usual woes and thoughts of someone with an unexpected amount of pressure thrown on them by an ailing-in-health elder. Over the course of the next month, it became apparent that the old home did nothing but bring bad memories back to the two sisters. Anna and Shannon came to agree that a change of scenery was in their best interest, sold their home, and moved—upon recommendation by Wesley at the funeral— to Frankfort, Kentucky.
Now at the age of twenty-eight with no real accomplishments to her name and a burning desire to move up and chase her dreams, Anna set out—with encouragement from both Wesley and Shannon—and sent out five college applications to follow her dreams of getting the law degree that Donnie prevented her from getting. She was accepted into the Kentucky State University and began her courses while continuing her side-job as a bartender to handle payments of necessities for her daughter and so on. Two months into her courses, Anna met another student coming from Samoa—Kalani Sulani—who was studying psychology and immediately hit it off as friends. They went and did everything together, and soon enough that friendship became a relationship. He offered her something that none of her other relationships ever had—mutual love and empowerment—and to top it off, he accepted her daughter with open arms filling the role of a legitimate father-figure. In about a year, Anna, Kalani, and Dawn flew to Samoa to meet his family. He came from a coastal town, and his family was incredibly large with about six brothers, four sisters, and plenty of cousins to match. He professed his love for her at the end of the trip, and she was allowed a sentimental tattoo on her neck from one of the family members to denote her spirit as a survivor, fighter and the beginning of her new life with Kalani
Over the course of the past year, her life had fallen into place in every single way imaginable. She was well on her way to graduating and receiving her law degree to pursue a career as a lawyer, she had a supportive family, her daughter was her shining light in dark times, and her relationship with Kalani wasn’t story-book perfect but it was enough for her. This, however, would not remain her reality by a mere week later—Anna was suddenly forced into staying in her home as the State of Kentucky went into complete lockdown as a preventive measure for the spread of Corto Virus—a name she hadn’t heard until it hit the United States of America, she was never the type to keep up-to-date on international news—and everything started to crumble from there. She watched as her life became a chaotic horror story as people filled the streets panic-buying stores out and riots spilled out into the streets with people assaulting members of local law enforcement—but the worst of it all was the stories spreading online of monsters lingering in the shadows of alleyways, doomsday sayers, government conspiracy theories and how much of all of them had started to come true. It became apparent very quickly that nothing was on its way to improvement—especially with the military forming evacuation points—and the four were becoming uncomfortable staying in Frankfort when all of the checkpoints were popping up everywhere else. They formed a plan and decided on using the highways to make it to Muldraugh, where the nearest announced pick-up point was located at. This plan would prove to be a mistake. What was usually an hour-long drove turned to a two-day trip which took them through a police checkpoint where they were briefly held for testing—the security was low at this point—and it led to Kalani getting into a scuffle with a man attempting to steal their vehicle leaving him with an injured ankle that the officers refused to treat. Anna and Shannon made the rest of the trip as the designated drivers, only narrowly arriving at the checkpoint a few minutes before the trucks arrived.
What Anna Jamison believed to be an end to the nightmare she found herself in would soon prove to be much, much more—this was her beginning—and whether or not she would be cut down by teeth or bullets was uncertain, but one thing was. She intended to fight until her last breath to see her daughter one last time.
(Anna is left behind as Kalani, Dawn, and Shannon reach the stadium without her.)
