≫ WHAT'S UP WITH GATEWAY ROLEPLAY? ≪

  • We've been radio silent for a long time now. We posted an announcement in our Discord server back in April of 2025, but never updated the forums. So what's up with Gateway Roleplay?

    After 5 long years, we've decided to place the development of Ties That Bind on an indefinite hold.

    This doesn't mean it's cancelled. We fully intend to run Ties That Bind: What Lies Beneath and Ties That Bind: City of Angels eventually. But to do so, we need to take a step back. In the meantime, we'll be working on smaller, invite-only projects.

    Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us this long! MindGate and I (Pika) have been working on this server for over a decade now. It truly is a passion project for us.

Biography
Originally from Argentina, Nila traveled to Knox to visit and work with family farmers.
The car trip to Knox was very long and exhausting, so he decided to get some sleep.
When he woke up he could not believe what his eyes saw, the car was surrounded by people with sinister eyes, suction and who seemed dead. When everything seemed lost, a great onslaught shook her and she passed out. Then wake up in the damaged car of those who had rescued her.

You're off to a good start, but there are some things I need you to elaborate on.
  • We require at least one paragraph minimum regarding your character's personality. You've written one sentence. Try to add on to this to give us a better idea of who your character is.
  • We require at least one paragraph minimum regarding your character's appearance. Attempt to go more in-depth, if you can. If not, that's alright, but the more information the better.
  • Try to elaborate some more on Nila's motivations. What are her morals? What drives her to do what she does in life? You only stated two things, so including more would help to get a better idea of your character.
  • We require at least three paragraphs in your character's biography. You've written one. Please elaborate more on her life as you've only included Nila's experiences at the beginning of the outbreak. For example, her childhood, her adult life, and her life up until the initial outbreak. Reference the lore timeline for more information regarding things.
