≫ WHAT'S UP WITH GATEWAY ROLEPLAY? ≪

  • We've been radio silent for a long time now. We posted an announcement in our Discord server back in April of 2025, but never updated the forums. So what's up with Gateway Roleplay?

After 5 long years, we've decided to place the development of Ties That Bind on an indefinite hold.

This doesn't mean it's cancelled. We fully intend to run Ties That Bind: What Lies Beneath and Ties That Bind: City of Angels eventually. But to do so, we need to take a step back. In the meantime, we'll be working on smaller, invite-only projects.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us this long! MindGate and I (Pika) have been working on this server for over a decade now. It truly is a passion project for us.

"After a harrowing escape to the basement of the dormitories, the remaining survivors must go against all odds to get to the surface."

This will begin at 8:30 PM EST on 5/24/20 (Sunday, May 24th, 2020)
Most of the student body turns.
Characters discover blueprints showing that an old fallout shelter beneath the school could be a potential way out.
It was later revealed that his shelter connected to a set of sewers. An explosion in the eighties damaged the structural integrity of the bunker itself, opening it up and allowing traversal - though it is dangerous.
Bryce, Haytham, Samantha, Kan, and Jorge were killed.
Darius, Linda, Elenora, and Suzanne were left to an unknown fate after being left behind on the surface.
The National Guard is rumored to be shooting people inside the building on sight.
