Charlotte thinks extremely highly of her moral compass, while at the same time also breaking that moral compass from time to time. There is one thing she cares about most however, keeping the people she cares about safe, and ensuring she does not fail again.

Charlotte, above most factors, does not want to abandon her people, or have any harm to come to them.

Charlotte is a 5ft 7in African American Woman. Charlotte looks a bit older than she actually is, closer to her mid-30s. Part of the could be attributed to stress she's had to go through over the years. Her eyes are green, and her hair is a jet black.

Biography
Life for Charlotte these past 12 years has been mostly pain, misery and death.
Charlotte witnessed as everyone she came to care about died right in front of her, or heard second hand that they ended up dying in her absence.
The list of names is long. Stephanie, Her Parents, Heaven, Maggie, Sam, Chelsea, Don; to name a few. You could argue very plainly that none of these deaths were a result of any of Charlotte's actions, because they clearly weren't.
Charlotte doesn't care. It pales in comparison upon what happened next.
She ran.
She took a car from the parking lot and went back up to the smoldering ruin of the city of Chicago, mostly to clear her thoughts, but maybe because she still felt guilt. Even all these years later Charlotte doesn't know. She eventually ended up going back to Kentucky, only to find the Crossroads Mall a smoldering ruin, and even more deaths relayed to her via the Rangers from Shepardsville. There was nothing left, but she managed to find the photo of her family located at the old memorial.
This led to years of Charlotte traveling around the country, to her hometown to see if anything was left. There wasn't. She left to Texas, to Louisiana, to the Midwest, and eventually up to upstate New York, where she wanted to track down friends of hers headed in that direction. Charlotte arrived in Monroe about 7 years ago, and for some reason, even she doesn't know, she decided to stay.
Maybe it was the safety, maybe she just enjoyed the community itself. Maybe Charlotte was just tired of running. It was probably the latter.
There is one thing Charlotte is certain of. She will not be running from her problems again. She will face them head on, or die trying.
