Marian is just as no-nonsense as her father though she doesn't share his prejudice against others based on religious or political views. Neither matter to her. She has a strong sense of right and wrong and has no problem calling someone out who goes against her morality. She is uncompromising and even merciless at times (though depending on the situation, she does have a heart). Marian does not have a quick temper and even if a troublemaker would try to get a rise out of her, it's nigh impossible to do with her very patient temperament.
In private, Marian is a very relaxed individual and someone who wants work to stay at work. She cherishes her time alone and often spends it reading, tending to her weapons, or socializing with the people of Monroe. She'd also never tell you but she's an amazing cook and even fairly decent at singing though she doesn't do it often.
Character Motivations
Marian is motivated by a desire to see order and a proper law system obeyed. Even if it is over a decade after the fall of society as she may have seen it before, that doesn't stop her from wanting to see a government and law enforcement structure. She hopes to one day see a semblance of the American government once again, even if that's a long ways off.
Physical Appearance
Marian is a very tall, statuesque woman. Standing at 6 feet tall with an athletic build, Marian can be an intimidating figure, especially for a woman. She has long, naturally pale blonde hair she wears down past her shoulders when off duty, and when working it's tied up in a very tight bun with the odd few loose strands of hair framing her face. She also has intriguingly hard to read eyes that are dichromatic blue and green (with an odd gold/hazel between the two due to the mixing of the two colors).
She, of course, wears a uniform and badge while on duty that allows others to easily identify her as the Chief of Security. Off duty, Marian chooses to wear more feminine clothing dependant on the season.

Biography
Marian was born on October 31st, 2002. She was born into a post-9/11 United States and grew up with a fear of terrorists and Muslims instilled in her by her conservative father since she was young. Her father was no-nonsense, strict, and very religious while Marian even at the young age of twelve knew she held no faith in God as they did.
She was raised in a rural town in Pennsylvania with two older brothers as her role models. With no other women in the house, she grew up a tomboy who had to do a lot of the cleaning and cooking around the house from the age of eight onwards. Her father and eldest two brothers often treated her as if she was a stupid woman who wouldn't amount to much in life despite the fact that Marian was always a very smart child and a quick learner. Her father outright refused to teach her to hunt or use guns like her brother so she had to learn on her own.
After the outbreak and the breakdown of society, Marian's role as the home maintainer became even more stressed upon her and her father -still- refused to teach her to defend herself under the notion that he and the three older boys would always be around to keep her safe if need be. Instead of leaving for any sort of quarantine or safe location, they weathered out quite a few years in their original home, chasing off looters when necessary and keeping their land safe.
As she grew older and became a woman, the oldest of her two brothers would begin to sexually abuse her. She never said anything to her father because he'd likely just say she was a lying whore in one way or another while the younger brother knew about what was happening but kept out of it, likely out of fear of the eldest. At the age of nineteen, Marian left home, finally unable to put up with any more assaults from her brothers.
For the next eight years, she struggled to survive on the road, becoming a much harder, tougher, and stronger woman overall. Her archery skills improved during this time as did her scouting and tracking skills. These travels took her across the ruins of what remained of the East Coast of the United States. It was during this time she settled with a group of survivors who all brought something to the table that helped them keep a small community running for three years in upstate New York. Marian showed to have strong moral convictions and was a natural leader while they had a former General Practitioner with them, a Veteran, a once award-winning gardener housewife, A former modern blacksmith, and two brothers who were both excellent hunters. They all worked well together and Marian even learned quite a bit from this group. They were not meant to be together forever it seemed, as an organized attack on their small settlement from another larger community lead to them all getting separated from one another.
Marian was on her own after that with just the bare minimum she had managed to get before leaving. She eventually ended up meeting Julian eventually. She was assigned to the security force for the very new Monroe at the time and eventually was appointed the position as Chief of Security due to her morality, intelligence, conviction, and her willingness to do whatever it took to keep their community safe.
