Katherine is a very cautious woman. She never gives her real name, never brings anyone to where she's staying, and always makes sure she's not being followed home. If Katherine is one thing, it's cautious; her former occupation was the main cause of this paranoia but it's also as the saying goes: 'Once bitten, twice shy'. She does not easily trust anyone and does not trust anyone else easily either. If anyone does run into Katherine, she never gives her real name, only ever going by the moniker 'Alpha'. She favors isolationism and being exceptionally self-sufficient, often dabbling in a little bit of everything in terms of survival skills from First aid to hunting, trapping, and so on.
She is what is required for the moment. A manipulative woman easily able to adapt and change her personality and reactions as necessary for a situation, she is incredibly hard to read in terms of what she's actually feeling for a situation and her motives are never overtly clear; even her full loyalty to the CPF isn't entirely guaranteed but thus far, she's given no reason for her not to be trusted. Underneath the lairs of fake personality, however, she is a very competitive, stubborn, and intelligent woman who will not take no for an answer.
Character Motivations
Katherine is devoted to her daughter first and foremost. She does everything she does to keep her safe and to stay alive in order to keep her safe. If that requires her to change alliances or deal with enemies, then she will do it with no hesitation.
Physical Appearance
Katherine stands at 5'8" tall, weighing about 142 lbs. with an endomorphic build. The lines of age have started to creep up on her though she still retains much of her beauty from her younger years. She appears to be of Eastern Slavic descent and has long, dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and pale skin. Usually, she dresses in dark clothing depending on the surroundings whenever she is working in a covert manner instead of donning her other persona of 'Alpha'.
When she is going to other factions' territory, she puts on very unassuming clothing, rarely arms herself with any firearms, and makes sure that whatever she's carrying or however she acts or speaks is very standard so she is easy to miss in a crowd and so that it is easy for her to slip away and not be missed by anyone.

Biography
Alpha was born as Katherine Pavlik, the daughter of two immigrants from Ukraine. She became a U.S. citizen just like her parents did after they were naturalized. She grew up as a very smart, determined child with an almost stubborn personality. She always refused to give up and this showed in her schoolwork, her after-school activities, and even in games and sports. While going through school, her parents made sure that she studied Ukrainian and English. This study grew into a love of languages that developed her into what's known as a polyglot. This has led to her being capable of speaking six languages to this day, not all in full fluency (I'll put a list below of the ones she can speak and how fluent she is).
Once she graduated from high school she went for a major in criminology in college with a minor in language studies. It was during this time she also applied for a position at the Central Intelligence Agency. She originally started out in a translator position while in school and once she had finally graduated, Katherine was offered a position as an operative as well as the training necessary for the position. During the course of the next four years, while working for the CIA, she went on a total of three operations, one of which spanning a duration of over a year while attempting to infiltrate a criminal organization in Europe she was instructed to destabilize from the inside.
It was during the break after her third operation that the outbreak transpired and shit hit the literal and figurative fan. She may or may not have had warning prior to things reaching the absolute peak before things entirely broke down (up to you guys on that; I'm happy either way since it's something so minor). Around this time, she had been getting treatments in order to become pregnant as she desired to have a child. This proved to be one of the worst times for this to happen not only because she became pregnant but also because she had to survive a post-outbreak civilization and eventually also keep a child safe if she survived the birthing procedure.
Katherine, but sheer luck, managed to find a group near Fairfax County in Virginia fairly early on in the outbreak that had a good amount of people and those with professions that kept the town safe for several years. It was here where she gave birth to her daughter Anastasia and raised her for most of her life. It was only around ten years after the end of the world as she knew it that this small settlement ended. Overrun by the walking dead, Katherine fled with her daughter to the northeast of the United States, eventually ending up in upstate New York where she found the C.P.F. and they took both her and Anatasia in and she has been with them for the last two years serving as one of their experts and primary Intelligence Gatherers as well as a trainer for any new scouts that may join.

For her daughter's safety, Katherine lives within the main settlement of C.P.F. even if she'd rather live away from it. She serves as the faction's primary intelligence gathering operative and scout, often and easily posing as a passing trader or scavenger looking for anything and everything. She uses this persona dubbed 'Alpha' in order to collect information within the territory of other factions. Very few of those of C.P.F. know Katherine's real name and even the leadership refers to her as Blackbird, not her actual name or her cover's name.
