Jack is a special person, not through any particular skills, but through his kind heart. When life gives him lemons, he makes lemonade. Then shares it with everyone. He is easy to like, easy to make friends with anyone who is actually willing. Jack always takes the time to get to know people around him. Strangers don't stay strangers for long unless they threaten him to stop asking personal questions.
He is a very brave boy, but can become frightened quite easily. He tries his best to not let it show, but the infected still scare him even after so long. Many people have fought to protect him, and died, so he feels a responsibility to take care of them in turn. He cannot kill an infected to save a life, but he doesn't forget to make sure everyone is well fed. Bringing them heart-warming meals that he made up himself.

Jack was born not long before the apocalypse. Almost all of his memories are of a time after the outbreak, spent running, hiding, fighting for survival every day. Due to the fact that he missed out an all the opportunities of the world before had to offer, he constantly seeks out old world items. He is fascinated by a time where teens his age would be worrying about things like dating, school and other trivial things.
Wanting to believe that the world may still fix itself one day, that all these things like BBQ's and Ice Cream Trucks might one day return. He collects pre-outbreak items no one would really have use for. Things like someone's diary, sentimental objects and.. Toys. Surrounding himself with these items makes him feel more at home, more alive. One of his biggest obsessions is post cards. He has one for over a dozen states as well as international, he intends to collect them all, having them litter his walls like protective shielding.
One of his biggest focus is to find his parents which he hasn't seen in nearly a year as well as the group of friends he had lost. Though all leads are exhausted, he still doesn't give up hope and will jump at any opportunity that might bring him a scrap of evidence they're still alive out there.
Jack's other main drive is people. He knows how valuable friendship is, to him life really means little without it. So his day to day is often spent making new friends, spending time with current ones and just trying to bring back Civilization one community at a time.
Physical Appearance
Jack has the appearance of a small, skinny boy. He has a shaved head, is about 5 feet tall and even though he eats well he's very boney. Jack can often be seen sporting shorts, a tank top and baseball cap during the summer. In winter he wears jeans and a hoodie. He has an androdgynous style but will never be seen wearing skirts or dresses. He doesn't carry visible weapons whenever he's in a community.

Biography
Evelyn "Jack" Summers was born a female before the outbreak. Going by 'Evie' in his toddler years, he doesn't remember much of that life, having grown up moving from place to place, trying to survive. Most of his earliest memories are of meeting new people in small communities, keeping warm by the fire at night.
Jack had an uneasy upbringing but always did his best to find the silver lining. By the time he was six he found he was quite good at making friends, and so cherished to do so. He was an only child so making connections with friends seemingly meant more to him. He grew strong bonds, but sadly the passing of time always took them from him. Either through death or distance, most people he connected with eventually faded from his life.
Having spent most of his existance being protected and sheltered, he often sought to escape that. He wanted to be strong, be brave, more importantly he didn't want people to keep dying to protect him.
Coming into his teen years Jack had actually gained influence with the adults of his community and used it to get accepted for the more dangerous jobs. Small stuff to start like keeping lookout, but he was trusted to do a good job.
Eventually in his teen years he was allowed to go on group patrols. His community would actively sweep the area for infected, in which he was invited to come for the first time. The experience was harrowing for him. A friend got bit, in an incident which he still blames himself for. After that he resigned to taking the more menial tasks instead.
During his teen years, Jack realized the changing of his body and kept asking himself some difficult questions. It is always a hard time finding out who you are, but Jack seemed confused by the idea of being a girl becoming a woman. He saw himself as a boy becoming a man. When he told his parents this, they were accepting, though some community members were not. In defiance of some of the more bigoted members, he shaved his head and proclaimed his new name would be Jack.
At fifth-teen he got separated from his parents and the group they were in, whilst they were moving to a new area. He searched endlessly but to no avail. Now by himself, he was terrified of what was going to happen to him. Fortunately he managed to meet up with another group of survivors after the longest time of being alone. Wary of them to start but eager to be behind safe walls and eat proper food again, he leapt right in.
Jack has been with the community some time now, enough to get to know it's residents and vice versa. He does his best to watch the walls for infected, scout the area, keep it clean of trash and corpses as well as make sure everyone is properly fed. He wants everyone to know that he is reliable, and that despite his age, he is a valuable member of the community.

Just a knife given to him by his Dad. Jack would also like a Dog if he were to find one, he loves Dogs.

Jack sort of fell into the group by accident. He was lost and ambling about trying to survive alone for a long time before stumbling upon their gates. Being that they actually welcomed him inside and weren't threatening to him, he started to quickly like it there and eventually asked to stay.
As a teen and probably one of the communities newer members, he'll hold very little influence. But he's always trying to prove himself, taking on all the tasks he is capable of. He will constantly ask for jobs to do, but also do smallers jobs of his own initiative.
Jack will not have told anyone that he was born female, but more intuative members, especially females will likely be able to tell. He's not ashamed, he just see's himself as a male so doesn't discuss it further.
