≫ WHAT'S UP WITH GATEWAY ROLEPLAY? ≪

  • We've been radio silent for a long time now. We posted an announcement in our Discord server back in April of 2025, but never updated the forums. So what's up with Gateway Roleplay?

After 5 long years, we've decided to place the development of Ties That Bind on an indefinite hold.

This doesn't mean it's cancelled. We fully intend to run Ties That Bind: What Lies Beneath and Ties That Bind: City of Angels eventually. But to do so, we need to take a step back. In the meantime, we'll be working on smaller, invite-only projects.

Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us this long! MindGate and I (Pika) have been working on this server for over a decade now. It truly is a passion project for us.

As you all know, we're utilizing the New Denver map for this lore. New Denver connects to the vanilla map near where Rosewood is located, and there's no way to have it be standalone. Because the connecting area is so large, it's not feasible for us to block it off with water. That being said, if you're found far outside New Denver you will be temporarily banned.

It can be difficult to tell once you've left the map since there's ~4000 tiles of pure forest between the two, so if you find yourself in Rosewood on accident you won't be punished. Ultimately, it's up to the admin's discretion.

Thanks!

The red line denotes the map boundaries. New Denver overwrites areas of the new vanilla map, so those don't count.
You can view New Denver on the
PZ Map Project by selecting "Overlay New Denver" or going to Community Maps > New Denver.
