Mark's a reclusive individual, usually living off the land and keeping away from larger settlements unless he needs to stock up. Being a drifter he bounces around the roads offering his services. He may not enjoy taking lives, however he's no stranger to defending himself where needed from either a lone bandit or infected. However if outnumbered he's likely to give in to demands with little issue.
Character Motivations
To practice medicine to the best of his ability and save lives when able. Mark also strives to learn as much as he can about medicine.
Physical Appearance
The man standing in at about 6'3 wears a dark blue hooded cloak, his bearded face peeking from behind the hood. Recognizable for the bag with a red cross hanging about his neck he's a fairly stout man reasonably getting a good deal of exercise every day since the outbreak.

Biography
The world died 12 years ago, family friends, neighbors all in chaos fighting to survive. Darner was one of the lucky ones, despite losing most of what he loved in his home town of Wind Ridge, Pennsylvania. He survived bandits, infected, hard winters, all while learning how to practice medicine from his friend Gibson who was a doctor. They bounced around small settlements providing aid where they can while Darner learned the trade, since his old job won't be useful for several more years. However on the 9th year Gibson had a slip up while they were traveling to New York, getting bit on the neck. Darner was forced to put down his longtime friend, and move on.
A few weeks after the loss of his friend Darner stumbled across another settlement, spending the next several months there. He picked up a small German Shepherd mix with Lab as payment for treating a sick family's grandmother. Having passed important knowledge on how to treat injured to the town he moved on to the next place and so forth. All while a small stenciled Dragonfly followed everywhere he went. . .
