Moose is rather outgoing and friendly, at times he can have a bit of an ego given his past if he goes down on a trip of memory lane for too long. If you're on his good side he'll happy look out for you otherwise to those he disapproves of he can be rather indifferent. As the apocalypse has dragged on, the mentality of being kind to those who look out for him is entrenched and those he dislikes he's indifferent to.
Character Motivations
Moose's motivations in these trying times aside from survival is to find some fellow like-minded survivours and seek some resemblance of normality to ride out this outbreak, can't go on forever right? That's what Moose thought all those years ago, now he's just trying to cling onto some semblance of normality in this world.
Physical Appearance
Moose stands at 6'2 with a stocky build that once hints of a more muscular build in his previous years, typically seen with a stubble and short, messy light brown hair and his bright, blue eyes. He typically wears a pair of blue jeans held up by a belt and a black sweater covered up by his leather jacket with his sidearm in a side holster visible for all to see.

Biography
Moose McCarthy , real name Max was born in Pendleton, Oregon on the 7th of April, 1987 as an only child to his parents Jack and Maria. His childhood and early teenage years were mostly spent revolving around his father's family business, McCarthy's Hardware & Outdoors though he had more than fond memories of spending weekends away with his father learning how to track game, hunt or fishing trips with the old man. Despite his father clearly moulding him to be the successor for the father business, Moose soon fell in love with Football and would soon be a major impact on his life.
Moose acquired his nickname in his teenage years likely due to a combination of his physical build being built like one, and the association of Moose in regards to hunting, it stuck for the rest of his life and his real first name largely forgotten. His grades could be described as at best modest, mostly relying on the hope of a football scholarship to get him into college as he was on the High School's football team as a Fullback. Moose had impressed scouts enough to be offered a Football Scholarship at the University of Oregon and was able to maintain his GPA required of him despite his senior year being plagued with the messy divorce of his parents due to his father's infidelity.
Moose was soon off to Eugene, Oregon where he became the Fullback for the Oregon Ducks, his life soon became nothing but football, hitting the weights in the gym and his studies. The money provided to him for his scholarship meant he could live with a degree of comfort and a bit of fame from the folks of town back home and avid college football watchers. In his Senior Year of College, Moose was noticed by a scouting agent as he was a rather prolific footballer and it was the time when Fullbacks weren’t a dying breed in the NFL. Once he graduated, he was picked up by the Denver Broncos in the 2009 NFL Draft in his graduation year, it was the happiest time of his life though the good times were soon to run out.
Moose was signed on a 4 year deal, earning himself quite a sum of money in his contract, though often he found himself on the backup roster for most of his years, though in his third year he received his first call-up and played his first game in 2012 in the season opener. He played the first four games but suffered a season ending ACL injury on his right knee which took over a year to recover. Despite making a full recovery he was never the same and only played two more games, being waivered having only played a total of six games. It was shattering for Moose, never able to see his full potential and returned back to Pendleton in 2013. Not having much else to fall back on, he returned to his father’s business, his father was delighted to have his son back and promptly renamed the business to “McCarthy & Son Hardware & Outdoors.” Moose has now settled back into the regular life, no longer having to meet the strenuous requirements of NFL, he’s no longer as buff as he once was, with his nickname “Moose” from all those years ago having still stuck to this day, with no one calling him by his real name.
With his father currently away on vacation at a beach resort in South Carolina, at the age of 29 he’s left to run the family business until he returns. To this day he wonders what could have been if it weren’t for that injury, now spending his time fishing and hunting when he isn’t running the family business, however that is no longer his primary worry in life as Moose was caught up in the outbreak at the time.
Fast forward twelve years after the initial fall, Moose is now a drifter of sorts, having seen settlement after settlement fall to bandits, the infected or just infighting from survivours, lovers perish, attempts at normalcy failed amongst his years. Moose has shuffled himself towards Monroe County, New York with a likely last shot at live in the current world he inhabits, with his blonde streaks starting to slowly turn grey at he reached his fourties...
