Character Name
Will
I Agree
Yes
Has this character appeared in a previous lore?
Yes
Age
41
Blood Type
O neg
Personality
Will is austere, self-disciplined but with a propensity to be abrasive. He usually thinks through the outcome of a situation before he acts. However, in a world where reaction time is life or death, he leaves no room for hesitation in acting for what he believes is fair. He has a tendency to be overly-critical of others which can come across as hash. Will, however, gives little stock in material possession and may appear altruistic in some occasions. Many situations have warranted a gentle hand, although the callouses on his hands make it difficult to handle them appropriately.
Character Motivations
Will's primary motivation was aimless survival for a very long time. His focus now has turned to seeking a community and helping facilitate its growth. He longs for stability and will do his best to preserve it, one way or another.
Physical Appearance
Will is 5 feet 11 inches tall. He is 41, but prolonged stress and undernourishment has artificially aged him. More hairs on his head are grayer than brown and streak through the well-kept beard on his chin. His body, despite the evident lack of nourishment, is lean and hard with wiry muscles built for prolonged endurance rather than strength. His face and outwardly cold demeanor isn't the most attractive to others. His pinched, rattish features do not usually display much warmth and affection.

Biography
Born Billy Matheson, Billy spent his early life bouncing from one job to the next until he found out an efficient way to scam people. His crime caught up with him, and he spent the better half of a year in the Green River Correctional Complex where he was able to ride out the initial red-eye outbreak. After several month of scarce supplies and increased amounts of tension among the inmates, he traveled and eventually stumbled upon a mall full of survivors.
Unfortunately for Billy, the mall proved to further degrade his mental health and appearance, often appearing unwashed and out of his mind. Instead the guts of the complex, he spent the majority of his time strung out on heroin in as near a perpetual stupor as he could manage thanks to a resident doctor. He actively avoided work and the other mall inhabitants, where his behaviour eventually caused conflicts among them.
During the assault of the mall by the Disciples of Lazarus, Billy retreated to the inner crawl spaces of the mall. He stayed as the others left, faced with prolonged isolation, resource scarcity, and withdrawal from his heroin addiction. He spent the next week going through withdrawals, nearly dying in the process. Rather than curling up and dying, Billy used his long dormant mind to think his way through the situation. Using his experience with electric devices, Billy was able to distract the creatures enough to scavenge for food and water, resorting to rats and bugs when he absolutely had no choice. In the time he spent in the vents, Billy planned and was able to escape with his life in one piece.
Another 12 years went by. Billy followed the cold to the north, hoping for solace from mother nature. Life on the road hardened his body and resolve, but left him with lasting marks that color his perception of the world. Through self-discipline and a tenacity for life, Billy eked by until he made it to New York. He spent time among others, although he never settled.
