Mary-Ann, while coming off as charming, is shrewd in her dealings, with an eye for detail. She will attempt to gain the upper hand in any deal she makes, but also plays the long game in order to maintain possession of her business, or, maybe its genuine care for the community?
Character Motivations
To make money to live in relative, post apocalyptic comfort. And, even if she doesn't want to admit it, wants to have people she cares about in her life again.
Physical Appearance
Mary-Ann's is a middle aged woman with her age worn clearly on her face. She has short red hair, with some specs of dirt being seen in it.

Biography
Mary-Ann was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia. In 2005, she started O'Neil reality, a large real estate agency that made Mary-Ann a lot of money. In a sense she was a born sales woman. However, after the collapse, she joined a community of survivors that made their way up the eastern seaboard until eventually ending up in Fairpoint, New York in 2020.
Mary-Ann lost her husband and daughter during the journey, and thus didn't have any family left.
For about 6 years or so, Mary-Ann ran a business, buying items off scavengers and reselling them for a profit, and she made a good living doing it. However, when the CPF was established, they started levying business taxes. Eventually, she decided they were too expensive to pay, so she packed up and went out to the Barrens, to a town called Monroe. There, she could start her business without worrying about CPF taxes. Her lack of family allowed her to pick up and move easily.
