A nurturing person, Lily cares a lot about lifting up the people around her and making sure everyone is catered for. She is a sincere and hard-working soul who has a genuine love for her business: she enjoys getting to travel across the state with sweet treats for her fellow survivors to purchase. As kind as she may be, Lily is still running a business and understands the importance of turning a nice profit. Although as a mother, she has a soft spot for young people and when she is feeling generous may be inclined to offer discounted rates.

Lily is motivated by her enjoyment of travelling and meeting new faces. Although life on the road can be tough, she likes all of the new faces she gets to meet and people are usually friendly. Of course, making some good bank is very important to her, but she is truly in the business because she loves it. One day she would like to start winemaking and that is always in the back of her mind.

Biography
Pre-outbreak, Lily ran a popular Chinese takeaway in Philadelphia with her husband Felipe while also running a small, but successful, jamming and preserve business. They had led a comfortable life together, with their daughter Sunny being a talented flautist thanks to their investment in their daughter’s passion. Family meant a lot to Lily and it still does, even now that they are gone. Lily’s own mother lived with them and helped run their business, while her husband’s Puerto Rican family often visited. Her birth name was Lihua Chen.
When things got really bad with Red Eye, the Sanchez family fled to a refugee camp on the outskirts of Philly, where they became close with other families in the same boat as them. Soon enough, they were forced to flee with the allies that they had and ended up staying in a small gated village for what seemed like an eternity before those walls eventually fell. The fall of the gated community took Lily’s entire family, leaving her to flee and survive alone. She felt broken for so long but being found by a generous caravan of Brightonian travelling merchants ultimately saved her life.
They initially took her on to help her recover and ultimately gave her responsibilities around managing stock, but a relationship between her and one of the protection mercenaries quickly blossomed and he taught her the way of the weapon. All good things come to an end, however, and after the death of several members, including Lily’s love, one night, the caravan decided to pack up and head back to Brighton where they would be permanently based.
Several years later, Lily is finally on the road again and she is enjoying her merchant travels. Now in new territory, what fortunes will The Barrens bring for her?
