Nikolai is generally a calm, decisive, and blunt individual, though he has been known at times to lose his temper. It is a slow process getting him to boil over, and so what may appear to be a minor inconvenience could be the very thing that sends him into a violent rage. Despite this, he maintains a reputation for being one of the most fair and polite of hosts within his community of associates.
From the outside looking in, it would seem that Nikolai has only one master to serve: profit. However, it is to be noted that there have been situations in which he took a financial loss in order to preserve his own set of principles. It is undeniable that his key motivation is money, regardless.
He can be intimidating, charming, or dumb, depending on the company and the agenda of the day. Though, it would be unwise to think of any one trait as defining him. In the old world, Nikolai sought to expand his influence and power, while increasing his funds. In the new world, it's survival first-- and whatever else follows.
Physical Appearance
Nikolai is a solid man, at 6 feet 2 inches, weighing nearly 200 pounds. With a fairer complexion, he is prone to sunburn under the scorching Texas sun. His head is shaved, eyes brown, face clean shaven (though not recently for obvious reasons). His usual attire consists of a black tactical sweater, olive cargo pants-- sometimes with subtle woodland camouflage pattern-- black leather flight boots, and miscellaneous tactical accessories.

Biography
Nikolai Potreshkanov was allegedly born in 1977, somewhere in Eastern Europe, presumably the Soviet Union. This is purely speculation due to the lack of documentation on the subject. His childhood is of no significance, and he does not speak of it. However, he does mention that his criminal origins can be traced back to before the fall of the Iron Curtain.
The collapse of the USSR left a power vacuum that was quickly filled by the rise of the Russian mob. Nikolai fondly recalls his humble beginnings in the flourishing criminal nation that was 90's Russia. What loyal associates he has left can be accredited to his time as a mafioso. In the early days, he was simply another hired gun, robbing and killing his way to relative favor. The eventual fall of the mob, and rise of the Russian government put an end to the golden age of crime, and made it much more difficult to operate. This also made things much more profitable.
Nikolai took part in a joint venture to establish, or rather reestablish, a route that had been used to supply arms to Chechen rebels. Though ultimately unsuccessful, Nikolai gained much experience in the years that led up to the arrest of the majority of the group. He was, luckily, able to escape, and launched his own organization. At the height of his success, he was supplying arms to several major factions, including the Taliban and the IRA.
Just before the outbreak began to spread uncontrollably, Nikolai had been overseeing a delivery to the Bandidos MC. Left stranded in Texas-- his assets and resources severed-- it is up to Nikolai to start over. To build an empire once more from the dust, or to perhaps simply return to his days as a pawn. Either way, to think he will just lie down and die is inaccurate.
