Personality
Randy is a very resourceful individual. He is very good at thinking on his feet and getting out of difficult situations. A personable individual, he tends to be well-liked. He also has a flirtatious nature, and tends not to take himself too seriously.
Character Motivations
He is fairly loyal to Monroe, but considering most of the people he's close to in Monroe have since perished, that loyalty has diminished. Unknowing that his former lover Maria has died, he is currently extremely dedicated to get back to her. Largely traumatized by the events of the past half year, his current sole motivation is to simply return back to the relative safety of Monroe. Once he gets there, the man hopes to recollect himself and once again become a contributing member of the community.
Physical Appearance
Randy is a handsome young man. He has light brown hair and a wispy beard that never really fully grows in. His eyes are a beautiful blue color and one of his most distinctive features. He stands at 5'10" and usually weighs around 165 lbs, however he is currently much lighter due to the past six months of malnourishment.

Biography
Randy was only 16 years old when the world as he knew it ended. He wasn't a particularly good student in school, and often would ditch to smoke with his friends. Once the apocalypse began, his father took him, his mother, and his younger brother to a government camp they thought would be safe. They stayed there for about half a year before it became overrun, his father and brother dying in the process. He stayed on the road with his mother for about a year before she died too, leaving him on his own.
For the next 9 years he would find himself jumping from community to community, spending a lot of time learning to be self-sufficient on the road of this daring new world. Soon after its founding, he stumbled across the community of Monroe. He became a scout there. He enjoyed the work and the community and became close to many people. Randy was engaged in a clandestine relationship with his boss, Head Scout Maria Gomez, although not many people knew about it. They stopped seeing each other after about 6 months.
Sadly, it so happened that most of the people Randy had become close to died during the flu epidemic that ravaged Monroe. Wanting time away from the community to heal, he asked Maria and Julian to send him and his friend, another scout named Lenny, on a run west to see if they could gather more information about the world.
It seemed the west was a wasteland. There were no good communities in sight. Ultimately, Lenny and Randy got caught by a group of bandits who enslaved them. The two forcibly worked for the bandits in abhorrent conditions for about 5 months until they orchestrated an escape. Lenny died in the escape and Randy barely managed to get out.
He has been struggling to travel back to Monroe for the past month or two in the subfreezing temperatures, but he is now finally nearing home and is more than ready to return to its comfort and ample supply of firewood.
