Personality
Saito could best be described as flippant, often humorous and informal. He exudes charisma and often takes easily to a position of leadership. Although he holds loyalty to few people, that loyalty is steadfast and unbreakable. He is relatively unintelligent in a typical sense, but has a strong head for strategy and is physically more capable than most individuals.
He is understanding and empathic to a fault, but holds other deeper beliefs that have, in recent years, led him to do things he knows are deeply wrong.
Character Motivations
Saito is completely dedicated to the efforts and success of his sister Akasaka. Although he hates the path his sister has taken and the things she has done and continues to do, he cares for his sister too deeply to ever stop her, and one could say so deeply that he would do anything to help her.
His loyalty to Brighton only goes as far as his sisters needs. So long as they continue to provide for his sister's desires he will do everything in his power to help them.
Physical Appearance
Saito is an average height Japanese man of around 5'6 of a lean but fit build. His black hair dangles down to his mid back when is not tied in its typical tight bun atop his head, his beard is full and wiry with small strands of grey. He typically wears rather casual but compact clothes overtop often thicker materials to protect from weather and wear.

Biography
Asuka Saito joined the Japanese Self-Defence Force straight out of highschool in order to help fund his sister's education and his extended families bills. Less than a year after enlisting he would be guided by superior officers into joining the 1st Airborne group, and a few years on from that, into joining the Japanese Special Forces Group.
For years after making it into the SFGp at 22, Saito would participate in everything from the war in Iraq all the way to counter-terror operations in Japan, Europe, and the US and would even run security for world leaders. Although he was never a bright person, Saito would develop uncanny strategic and leadership skills during his time with the organization and take on more prominent roles.
After over a decade with the organization, Saito, either by coincidence or because some government bureaucrat thought it’d be funny, would be tasked to lead the security entourage for a group of virologists from the NIID heading to the US’s CDC. A group headed by his older sister Akasaka.
A few months after the group had started working in the States, the first signs of the outbreak that would eventually become the zombie plague began to form. Though Saito dealt with the issues of maintaining the security of his nationals well, his sister did not take the stress of her job in the same stride. Despite Saito’s comfort and best efforts, Akasaka suffered a psychotic break that would mark the start of both her moral downturn, and Saito’s unwavering protection of and loyalty to his sister. He would stay with her when she stressed, when she studied, and when she decided to ignore the Japanese government's orders for him, his team, Akasaka, and the virologists, to return.
It didn’t take long for most of the US governmental structures to collapse, and not longer still for the CDC building in DC to become more dangerous than safe to everyone involved. He would lead a collection of the remaining security force, virologists, and their families to survive the coming years of chaos. Not all of the group would make it, and some of those losses would be at the hands of Saito himself, or sometimes worse yet, his sister.
Two to three years in the remnants of the group would be absorbed into the larger structure of Brighton due to their need for knowledgable doctors and ground operatives like Saito himself. It wouldn’t take long for Saito to settle into his place, and Akasaka into hers. Years on, after Brighton’s rise into almost myth, Akasaka requested a team to make excursions with her, and Saito, as always, went right alongside her.
