Money is gold but information is king. He holds the passing of information in high regard and does what he can to spread what should be spread. However, he's willing to do what needs to be done so certain things never see the light of day. He's reclusive by nature rarely seen by others but enjoys the company when it comes around.
Character Motivations
Matthew has set out to build something else of his own having spent a decent deal of capital to build his current residence. The airwaves have been host to many things but it's time to give people some news in the world, hell even some music. While his past may haunt him he'd determined to retire and still provide something for those remaining in the world other than just surviving. All of this is done to prove his brother proud.
Physical Appearance
Matthew is of a short and lanky stature his body wrapped in a thick rawhide overcoat. Regularly he wears some kind of sunglasses over his eyes, a common cigarette dangling from his cracked lips. His face was a mess, burns and holes were missing all about his head. His right ear was completely gone, his nose just about non-existent burns and injuries mar his whole body and even his right leg was missing, ending in a mechanical mess. Crude but surprisingly decently engineered. He's also missing a pinkie on his left hand.

Biography
Ever since the start things had been rough for Matt, he'd been chased, burned, beaten, shot, you name it. He got stalled up in Kentucky for the second or so year of the outbreak. He doesn't remember much about the time other than the hell that was the valley. He may not have been liked but he did his best to keep out of peoples way. He took in a child only for them to vanish the next winter leaving him to wander numbly once again to find out what happened to his brother. Leaving a few weeks prior to the big fog in the South West for New York.
Upon arriving in the North East he was among the few who set up Pitsford and eventually being a key business figure with industry. Albeit limited he's got a firm hand in the arms market, producing ammo, weapons, and armor. Certainly not enough for the masses but enough for a select few who were willing to pay out the nose to get it. Some wonder how he lost his leg during his time in the coalition and few know what really happened. Some have speculated a factory incident while others conspired he was apart of some secret team. Unfortunately he's never spoken of it. Regardless over the years he's grown tired of the mess inside the CPF setting out for someplace within bounds but still somewhat out of the CPF's reach. The barrens. With the capital he's amassed, he bought everything he'd need to sustain himself in the woods and create a radio station. One that would unknown to most reach quite far. Even reaching well into CPF heartland. This week, he finally went live.

Matthew was a former business owner within the town, had been the creation of the coalition. He was a key figure in the weapon, ammo, and armor trade market within the CPF. Known for the fact he set up a lot of the logistics of the trade in the region. People who've met with him directly are rare and photos of him are rarer. His company is named 'Jack's Armory'. News went out in the later months of 2028 that Matthew had retired, rumored to be somewhere in the barrens.
