Emma is an incredibly innocent woman. She's lived her life following the word of god, and being made to believe that if she does anything malicious or considered sinful she will go to hell. She does not swear, drink or do drugs. She goes out of her way to help others but is absolutely terrified of the zombies.
Character Motivations
Emma has kept faith that her parents have managed to stay alive after all this time and that she'll be able to find her brother Shaun in New York. If she can manage to save him, she may be able to find her parents and the children she once taught back home. There'll be no way she won't make it into heaven.
Physical Appearance
Emma stands at 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs roughly 120lbs. She has long brown hair, that parts in the middle. Her skin is pale with cool undertones, and her eyes are honey brown in color. Emma is typically seen in either jeans or leggings and either a tank top or a long sleeve shirt. She also wears a golden cross necklace at all times. Emma has a small tattoo of a bird on her wrist.

Biography
Emma Reid, once known as Ms. Reid by her students, is a 34-year-old teacher who was born and raised in a gated community in Rosewood, Kentucky. Emma is the only daughter to Beverly and Curtis Reid, both worked hard to give their two children the lives they wished they had growing up. Her father was a gentle and loving man. He worked as a veterinarian within Rosewood for over 20 years. His wife, Beverly, was just as genuine and has spent the last two decades working as an English teacher for the local high school.
The example set by Emma’s parents left little to wonder why she followed in her mother’s footsteps. The relationship Emma had with her parents is one most would only see on television. She has an older brother named Shaun, who she got along with well besides typical brother and sister bickering. After graduation, Shaun moved to New York to become a lawyer and hasn’t spent much time back in Kentucky since.
The Reid family were always active members of their church and community. Many of the locals knew them and respected them. Anywhere from local food drives to backyard barbecues, the Reid family would always make an appearance. The family was extremely religious and put God first in any situation. They made sure they were in their usual third pew seats every Sunday morning and every Wednesday night. Emma has always followed her religion closely, even going as far as to save herself for marriage. She believed that God has a plan for everyone, now she is left wondering if that’s really the case.
The last twelve years were incredibly taxing on the young woman but never enough to shake her faith. She spent roughly six years on the road with nothing but her bible and a will to live before becoming a part of a large community on the coast by the name of "Rome." The community was hugely anti-violence and did everything it could to support those in the surrounding area until those ideals came back to haunt them.
The community was pillaged. Buildings burned. Atrocities committed against every man, woman, and child - all except Emma. Their punishment for her was to watch. To watch her god not save all of those she held close to her. Their crimes would never take away her love of the Lord, finding the only solace in her prayers.
As Rome fell, Emma set off to the last place she knew her brother to be - a law office in New York.
