Michelle like most has suffered and lost a great deal in the wake of the cataclysm that has destroyed so much of human society, however her perseverance and tenacity have guided and protected her through a world succumb to the Red Eye plague, Along with a dry wit and approachable personality, she's never afraid of making new friends and allies and takes her job as a Ranger very seriously with the belief that without some form of social cohesion and attempt at preserving rule of law, that humanity will never recover from this plague ridden dark age they now find themselves in.
Character Motivations
Michelle like countless others has been beaten and battered down by the global economic and societal collapse known as the redeye virus, and with it, the veil of lawlessness that has consumed much of what was once the United States of America and the rest of the world, as a Ranger she hopes to preserve the concepts of Justice and rule of law so that the world may someday return to a state on par with what once was.
Physical Appearance
Michelle is a woman in her mid to late 30's of average build and height with light blue eyes and reddish brown hair, she wears a beige trench coat getup over a black suit and slacks.

Biography
Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Michelle grew up in an upper-class neighborhood and lived an average childhood. She got high marks, and ended up going off to college in order to study to become an FBI Agent. She was brought on as a student at the academy and was primarily used for several interviews with well-known serial killers, and other analytical tasks. Fairly early on in her studies, she garnered a reputation of being quick-witted, and sharp on the draw with her job and excelled far and above most of the other members of her classes. Michelle was caught in the middle of the chaos on an investigation with her partner at the time, Jared Vaugerson in a rural area of Ohio. Both of them aided local law-enforcement for a time with evacuation efforts, and helped to keep the peace, being moved from quarantine zone to quarantine zone for the first few months before finally seeming to get out of the thick of it and brought aboard an Aircraft Carrier where some of the last vestiges of the United States Government and Military were securely operating to provide relief efforts.
It lasted for over a year, but would unfortunately suffer the same fate as many other QZs during the outbreak did. In the dead of night, during an ungodly storm, a containment breach occurred and before any of the on-board security was able to get it under control, half of the ship was infected and overrun by the Red Eyes. Michelle, Jared and a whole host of other survivors managed to escape on life-rafts to the main-lands. She always suspected it was sabotage by someone on board, and dedicated some of her time to deducing potential reasonings, or trying to fathom why it ever occurred but with time, she learned to let it go or was faced with no choice with time and life on the road. She can't recall most of it now, as it blends together due to the monotonous aspects of survival and all of the potential horrors and loss she endured. This time on the road inevitably led them to Pittsford, a burgeoning community thriving on trade and economy in upstate New York. With some vetting, each member of the group was accepted behind the walls under the condition that they worked. Michelle Reed was given an opportunity that not many had, a chance at a normal life ... but normal life was never something that suited her - at heart, she was a protector - a curious mind, and an investigator. As a war loomed in the background with a newly discovered, rivaling city known as Fairpoint, she signed her services over to Pittsford and was positioned in the initial form of the elite combat unit known as the Rangers, a unit that she would end up serving valiantly in during the battles to come. She made a name for herself in this time - as did her partner. Plenty of death and destruction surrounded her, and while it weighed, she persevered. By the time the war ended, she was allowed to settle comfortably into a new non-combatant position as an investigator and inspector. Twelve years later, her duties consist primarily of paper-work, investigations on missing peoples within the cities, tracking down smugglers, and putting bad guys behind bars. It took her time to get there ... but, with the world dead and gradually rebuilding itself, she's where she always wanted to be. Recently, Michelle has been called on and assigned to a new posting within The Barrens after the assassination of councilman George Dow and several other chaotic incidents. She's determined to get figure out who is behind it all, and why it happened in the first place.

Michelle Reed is one of the many Rangers within the faction, while also working as an investigator and inspector for some of the higher-ups. She has currently been placed on assignment in The Barrens to investigate the assassination of George Dow, Job's possible involvement, as well as determine the potential intentions behind the bombings caused by the mysterious group known as Brighton and figure out just what the hell is going on The Barrens. She will be with any other currently active Rangers.
